I've been following your directions and have been making these delightful plus blocks using my tiny scraps. Ah they are so cute. I think I feel happiest sewing with my scraps, especially the super tiny. It's like rescuing the 'unwanted and unvalued and seemingly useless' not by me but others may think so, and redeeming them by putting them together, and together they make something lovely and useful. 😊 I know someone else who likes to do this...but with people ❤

I’m so happy you did this tutorial. I am drowning in scraps and have been wanting to make that precious quilt. I love it! Thank you so much.

I’m new to your channel but in just made my first plus block and it’s perfect for the smaller size scraps I have. Great tutorial and as an American with Southern accent I do love your British accent.

Tip for you Rachel, if you hold your needle thread as you start stitch, it will stop the birds nests. My machine does birds nest too, and if I don't have a leader and ender then I do the above method.

Rachel, this isn't the type of piecing I would normally do. But I totally love the idea of this after you've explained it. Between using the smaller pieces, and all. I totally love it. And I don't know where, 😊, but I've got to get me a place and put clips up, too hang blocks on the wall. I need a bigger quilting space. 😂. Anybody else with me on bigger quilting space.....😂

I've never been a scrappy quilt lover but I'm absolutely swamped in scraps so when your lovely quilt dropped into my Facebook feed l just knew I have to make this darling quilt. Thanks for a great tutorial.

I got out my scraps and cut out 16 of these for a little row quilt I’m making.
They are just so cute.

I’ve been looking for a new leaders and enders project and a way to use up my small scraps. This’ll be the perfect project, thank you!

I have been watching Craftsy's Start Up Library with Christa Watson and am in the process of making my first quilt (very excited). I learned to knit watching their tutorials and they have a variety of other classes. I highly recommend Craftsy 🧡

What a lovely quilt that will be when you finish it. I love the scrappiness. I like that these are smaller pieces because I think those are the ones I struggle to use up and I don’t want to throw them out. Thanks a bunch. I am so glad I found your channel!

Arrch, i was thinking i do not need yet another project, but watching this was thinkinking what a lovely way to use my scraps other than crumb blocks 😊

Rachel, this was an excellent video. I could actually make this quilt based on the information you gave. I especially liked the advice about the larger block to help with color matching.
I also cut my scraps into precut sizes as I go. I learned it from Lori Holt’s Scrappiness is Happiness Book. It’s a great way to have fabric pieces ready to go.

I really like the small cross blocks.

Wrap your small cuts with Saran Wrap. It keeps them together, keeps them clean and frees up your clips.

I’ve recently started practising mini flying geese for Alices Wonderland quilt, tricky, but a night of practise and I’m getting better results. Now I’m wondering what to do with a large amount of slightly dodgy FG blocks. Your tutorials are brilliant, thank you
