I watched the Hills at the time. It was interesting to see rich kids doing their thing. But none of them were ever likeable. Lauren was cold AF, Heidi had crippling levels of self hate, Audrina with the dead eyes and flat voice and then the men who were overconfident but losers. That's why none of them ever got major fame IMO.

Lauren's husband is an amazing musician. Loved his solo stuff and his work with Something Corporate. Really nice guy too. Shot some of his solo shows in LA years ago and did an interview with him once.

The story line of "Lauren & JB hooking up " wasn't an actual episode. They filmed it but only used a clip of it as a commercial to show what was going to happen in the next episode. Then, cut to moving on with the next episode. They never showed the whole clip . I would have liked to see the whole clip, who started the rumor & proof etc.
Poor Audrina , I'm not sure if the rumor was real but I remember her not being able to tell her side of the story and everyone believing Heidi side with the "Audrina Spencer " drama

Literally rewatching the episodes and I remember being that young and everything being about my friends and hanging out. I can see now how Lauren was over protective of her friend’s circle but definitely not controlling. I mean why would you want to leave yourself open to users and fake ppl. The whole “JB and LC hookup” it is so beyond ridiculous. I think Audrina used Lauren in her book for sales and to stay relevant. If her book is actually sells it’s for the juicy tidbits on LC otherwise I’m sure it’s not a page turner.  Plus the whole giving deals to Lauren over her is foolish.. Whitney got a spin off and her and LC are still friends so clearly not holding anyone back. I think she took a page from the speidi book of bs! Speidi did actually spread those rumors and owned up to it.

I honestly can’t really take anything Audrina says seriously, she seems to have a lot of insecurity issues and is just hurt Lauren was able to move on from the show and basically cut everyone off 😂 i don’t believe Lauren was a saint (or the greatest friend tbh) but she stuck to her values and tried to get her friends out of unhealthy relationships when she could, Sure she was bitchy and a lil controlling but who WOULDN’T when your cast mates are calling you beef curtains and leaking private info about you and your body to Perez Hilton constantly and cast members MOMS calling the paparazzi on themselves to call you a little bitch just because she’s the star of the show and not their boring ass daughter, I really hate this LC hate bandwagon people have been jumping it’s giving ✨IGNORANT✨

Everyone is going to have different recollections about what happened 15 to 20 years ago. Was Audrina being offered more opportunities than Lauren ( that their mutual agent and publicist redirected to Lauren) ? Probably not😂

Wow whatta compelling post Zack n a fascinating book by Audrina Partridge. I feel that, especially having had  lived in SoCal (aka Southern California; including very near to Laguna Beach for a few years before I moved to LA; people like Lauren are a dime a dozen, but not necessarily in a bad way. They seize opportunity from a gig, n shift it into their own paths in life. Lauren may or have forever wanted that kinda life she lives now all along; yet it's because of the MTV fame at face value, that made it look otherwise. Especially if you may or may not be offered with the upper hand in an ensemble cast for a reality show. The TARZAN years of the rough n tough via making Lemonade outta Lemons; raw talent, less social media goin on vs now, kinda world then. Sure there were social showbiz politics; pressure cooker triggers, n raw ultimatums that occurred; but isn't it like that in many opportunities in life? Also living in OC, it's a small town vibe, where no matter what you did in life, that one person will forever feel a way of what you did; n fake forgive them to keep it movin, but mentally never will forgive them. That goes with just any problematic situation. Lauren n Audrina may bloom in the far future, but right now their both; like so many Hills OGs are either thriving or shifting upon what their passions for certain future endeavors awaits. I sensed Audrina n Justin Bobby in nearly any scene of Hills or New Beginnings, to have a hot passionate chemistry. She meant that it ain't over yet in a coy way, because who knows how they feel about each other at like say 50 years old. That's far away from now, but that's what she means. Even in New Beginnings, she n Justin Bobby seemed so dope, then the other suitors who she was filmed dating with. I hope this wonderful creative YouTuber Zack, keeps it up with the Hills era vibe videos;  for pretty much EVERY. SINGLE. CASTMEMBER had polar opposite, n double take/fascinating takeaways from a show started that social group BDE vibe on a plethora of ensemble cast reality shows, that launched post Hills'  aired exit.
