'If you have your own cement mixer you're up in some serious-' cuts to commercial "PEACOCK!"
Nearly spit my drink out.

Hey there, viewers!

So, about that background music... Yeah, my bad! 🎶 Sorry if I was cranking up the volume a bit too much and making you wanna bust out some dance moves involuntarily. 😄
But hey, good news! We heard your cries for mercy and toned it down and replaced it. So, consider this a re-uploaded, "Now with 50% less distraction" version.

I am eternally grateful that you all listen to your viewers, thank you team 💕

"why would you choose white? got to be a nightmare to get all the blood off"
thanks for making me choke on my water, Simon.

thank you to simon,  his writers and editors. i am a relative of the surviving Donnelly’s, who is often left feeling like my ancestors not only never saw an justice for what happened to them; but also left feeling like my ancestors were extremely misunderstood. thank you so much for acknowledging that the Donnellys where in fact the town scapegoat, and seeing that in  the lead up to their deaths they were being blamed for anything and everything that happened around them. i live in southern ontario, and if i mention my family relation, i’m ether met with people who are unaware of who the Donnelly’s are, or tell me that’s not something i should be proud of. as the perception of the family here is nothing good. to see the facts represented here, and to see simon and his writer sympathetic to the survivors, eases my mind that it’s okay to be open about my family history. and that i can in fact be proud of my lineage, like i have been since my childhood. thank you for bringing this tale to the masses, and not solely painting them as horrible people.

Oh nice they took the music out, that drove me crazy.

hallelujah the 3.5 second banjo loop is gone!

I hardly noticed the background music 😂 and so many people here are mentioning it.

I'm also really glad they stopped using siren sound effects. I listen to these when I'm driving to work and it was VERY stressful.

As a man from the North, I can confim that there is currently a flaming cat in my bin.

I remember finding the music annoyingly repetitive but not bad enough to distract from the content. Oh well. Commendable that you took the liberty to remove it for the sake of those that did.

I loved the music in the first one, namely that it abruptly stopped every time Simon started a tangent. 😅 it just added to the humor for me.

He took it down half way through me watching it 😂 I was so confused. Thanks for removing the music, though!

I really  enjoy these more “historical” episodes.
Thankyou for this one Danny.
Loved the art used to illustrate the story btw.
I’d like to see an episode on Alexander Pearce, the Irish Cannibal Convict in Tasmania, Australia.

Regarding the Donnellys being allowed to keep half the land they farmed: if they did the same thing today, they would still have the same result (or possibly get to keep the entire plot) and legally so, at least where I live. Essentially, if you're the one taking care of a plot of land, farming it, mowing it, maintaining it, even paying the tax on it, etc. for a long enough period of time while the legal owner does nothing with the land, you become the legal owner.

This applies to houses as well, iirc. The general idea is that, to prevent property from being abandoned and going to waste, it's better to redistribute it to someone who will take care of it and do something productive with it. It's a very tricky loophole to make work, but it's how my parents' new neighbor actually got the house across the street. The previous owner died and the family left it so neglected that there were wild animals living in it, and the new guy, whose brother lived next door, went in and did all the cleaning, maintenance and repairs.

Yayyy no more 4 second old west saloon music loop! We really appreciate it. 🙏❤

Peppa Pig might haunt the dreams of parents of today, but for me, it was Barney.

Canadian Hatfields vs. McCoys? lol

Thanks so much for the reupload! It's good to know the makers on this channel care about feedback 😊
