I stopped into Mr. Clouser's fly shop at 17 years old.  Lefty was there the day I stopped in.  I bought a fly rod, and Lefty took me outside and gave me a starter lesson.  Then taught my friend and I how to tie the clouser minnow.  Bob gave us huge discounts on our set up.  What we received that day was priceless. Later in life, I met Lefty at Project Healing Waters Events.  The dedication he gave to the service members dealing with PTSD, the care, and dedication to the sport, he was an absolute legend.  When he died, I thought of George Jones song, "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes".  Met this great man many times in my life.

I learned to fly cast decades ago mostly by watching videos by Lefty, Doug Swisher, Joan Wulff, Jason Borger, Simon Gawesworth, etc.

They all have a big place in my heart and I have a little bit of all of them in my casting style/styles.
