Excellent video! If the center weighted metering mode is used, can you meter the subject, use Exposure lock button, then recompose?

I loved this video.
The introduction to photography with older Nikons was the first video of yours
that I watched.
I really enjoyed it but found this metering video way better
with all the great examples you gave.
I’m going to get 3 backgrounds, white, grey and black and
try reproduce your shots with my Kodak folding Six-20 as a subject.
Your 2 videos are so good that I won’t just subscribe,
I will instead go back and watch your past videos.
That is always a great sign of a YouTuber when I want to do that.
I have been interested off and on with photography since age
10/11 when I got my first film SLR a Russian Practica BC-1.
A few years ago I bought a Nikon F100 and loved it but the
motor died on it and it was not repairable.
My main camera was a Panasonic Lumix FZ-50 Superzoom bridge camera.
Just a month ago I decided to build up a used DSLR system rather than spending a
huge amount on a mirrorless body and having no money to buy lenses.
I decided on a Nikon D3s and got one with only 20k clicks in excellent condition for < €650.
I always wanted a good Nikon speed-light and purchased an unused but open box SB-700
for about €125 including shipping, that exact item is €349 new on Irish Nikon website.
I got the D3s from MPB and I’m expecting a Nikon 28-300mm to arrive this week,
it was about €430 including shipping.
I also have the Nikon MC-36 Remote and the Nikon SC-29 off-camera flash cable.
I have the official D3s manual and the huge David Busch D3s guide.
Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and thanks again.
