the date on the front of covers wasn’t release dates, but expiration dates for shelf life since they were so easily collected at gas stations and such. it was just when they’d be cycled out, so you were right about the summer sales and stuff.
what a coincidence! i was gonna do a study on one of bagleys covers for my art class. i ended up doing one of john byrne's instead but it was a tough choice between them lol theyre both amazing! i do usually prefer the artists who draw spidey with bigger eyes for his mask, since it just looks so fun and expressive, but byrnes smaller, more angry eyes look really unique and match with the rest of his style really well.
some more comic goodness! As I have been going through your backlog of videos while I am at work. Sadly I am getting to the ones about a year ago now that the microphone was not as good :( I am glad the new videos all have great sound.
9:15 makes me think of Dark Claw, the amalgam of batman and wolverine in Amalgam comics. Did you get any of those, I remember the marvel vs dc stuff I thought was so cool to finally see in the 90s and then the mixing of 2 heroes and villains for the limited comic run of that was interesting. It finally put to rest a lot of those playground comparisons we had with our friends. "who would beat who in a fight?"
