I think even if you don't believe in ghosts, being in the presence of so many dead people really makes you reflect on your own mortality, and that alone is a very unsettling feeling.

Honestly, imagine being a random guy walking the streets of Paris with your friends and a youtuber that you follow just comes out of a random manhole covered in bone dust and dirt.

Every time they were away from the guide, I was just waiting to hear a distant grate clunking into place followed by "the trinkets I'll be stripping off your corpse- that's the real treasure! nyah hah hah hah!" 💀

People wanted this in pokemon Z-A but instead we get to find where the TMNT would stay if they lived in Paris

There's a spooky movie that takes place in the  catacombs called "as above so below" it's worth checking out.

They made a statue of a man walking through a wall in the catacombs. They were playing mind games back then

There was a yt short of some guy exploring the catacombs until there was bass thumping
He looks in a wall
Dudes are having a whole ass rave

There's a video from a camera found deep in the catacooms, of a man exploring around until he becomes startled by something. He drops the camera and breaks into a mad dash into the dark unknown. Allegedly, he was never found.

Fun Fact: Animals with night vision need small traces of light in order to see in darkness, which tends to be from either moonlight of bioluminescent sources in the surrounding area. These catacombs are so dark, the majority of animals wouldn't be able to navigate unless they're biologically adapted to traverse into the ground (Moles for example). If anything happens to your light sources, you're genuinely dead unless you get extremely lucky.

Imagine trying to replace your lantern battery with only sound and touch. You could bring lighters, but keep in mind their fuel is more limited. If you drop them, good luck finding them.

9:53 If thats human teeth, they had the longest jaw of all time.

If you think what lies below paris is terrifying, you should see how it is above ground

0:23 Rap God Crepe!

Definitely terrifying... but thankfully less claustrophobic than some of those cave diving videos.

27:30 a chatter asked "how many thousands of skeletons are there". There are about 6 million people to have been relocated within.

I went on a guided tour (goverment approved) a couple of years ago, it was a great experience but a bit unnerving tbh, the guide told us to turn off the lights in a safe pssageway and the complete darkness was something amazing to experience!

9:53 That's not human. That's like a goats jaw.

17:34 To add another layer to the crime: If you get m*rdered here, they just need to hide your body under the bones, and at some point you will not be different from the other remnants, other than your Carbon dating is a couple of centuries younger.

30:25 Imagine getting out of that crazy labyrinth full of spirits and critters and doom, and you break into the modern world and the first thing that happens is some random Parisian going "are you that youtuber??" Damn, that has to be the craziest recognition ever.
I would expect it to happen inside the catacombs more, to be honest, because those people probably watch this type of content.

The parts open to the public are easily navigated
