"if you can hear this, you're alone. The only thing left of me is the sound of my voice. I don't know if any of made it, did we win, or did we lose? But either way, it's over. So let me tell you about POI..."

The best thing about the show was how they made everything about the machine fit into reality. It all made sense. Especially for the time period.

This show is so amazingly complex all the characters are so multi dimensional and interesting they all have their own morals and motives and the dog is the absolute cutest

When Reese shoots people in the knee, it doesn't even hurt that much. That's how good a guy he is.

You know, Person of Interest was the first show I ever fell in love with...I was in middle school when it came out, and I remember waiting in anticipation all week for every episode as they hit CBS. The sad thing is that I never finished it, simply because I lost my way to watch it about halfway through season 4. It's been a few years, but this has motivated me to rewatch it, and finish it this time. Thank you.

This is the best show that was ever on TV. There was never a bad episode.

This is my favorite show of all time. Great acting, and great plot lines.

Another anecdote:
Person Of Interest also gives us a horror. Spoilers.
As shown in episode where Henry Peck becomes aware of machine.
I started to impose some of reality of the show into my life as I watched. And became anxious how WORSE today is.
Surveillance heaven. And in show, I could trust that machine had best interests. Was a closed system. Didn't leak any personal information. And cared about people.
I cannot say ANY of that for whatever surveillance system government has.

Gah! I can't stop gushing about this!!
While the Hook is procedural, so much of it is subversive of the genre. The purpose of the investigation is saving a life from an active threat, rather finding out who did it in the aftermath. And the focus always starts with saving a life over getting the bad guy. And it treats all of the killers as different. If someone isn't likely to re-offend they may not even get them arrested after stopping the kill. If the killer is sympathetic they will usually care more about talking them down and stopping them ruining their lives than they are about protecting a douchebag. And the characters genuinely struggle with the moral questions of their work. These are SOOO refreshing in the genre.

Person of Interest is a work of art, it's right up there with The Expanse, Babylon5 and, as you said, Buffy. The background storyline will take you places inside yourself that you didn't know existed. Like the other shows I mentioned, you have to watch at least 1-2 seasons for the show to catch you, but once it does you will never be the same again. Many people give up on shows after 5 eps, which is sad. All the great shows need an investment in your time to get the reward.

There was one asset for the machine that it never identified as an asset, that was always loyal, ready, and deadly. He was the best asset, one might refer to him as a good boy.

“I sometimes like to think of creative works like people. They might take some time to find themselves, but it is worth it to stick around.” God you’re a poet

"There is nothing more human than our ability to chose."
How is it you manage to come up with quotes that can be as meaningful as the show you're discussing? I remember in one of your She-ra videos you said; “Often, the worst part isn’t just sitting in our own darkness but feeling like we’re doomed to be the only ones who can see it.” That's straight up one of the deepest and most powerful lines I've heard period.
Like seriously, you might be the most well spoken YouTuber I've ever watched.
