Really good down-to-earth honest evaluation of Dr. Who.   Only thing that I can't relate to is how some people act like Star Wars influenced them (here "Change my life") in a way similar to Dr. Who or Star Trek when the number of hours of content for Star Wars was so pathetic by comparison.  It was a couple of hours of fast paced action, but doesn't compare to the dozens of hours of Star Trek of hundreds of hours of Dr. Who at the time.   (There are now over a 1000 episodes of Dr. Who by the way.)

Tom Baker is indeed... the definite article! Ask any woman of a certain age and she will tell you, his charm wasn't just set to stun! (If you know what I mean!)
There is a reason my mother 'didn't mind' this Doctor Who being on the TV, even though she hates science-fiction 'because of all the technical mumbo jumbo' (her words).
Back in the day, Tom Baker was to my mother, what Daisy Duke was to my dad. 😉👍
