Videos like this are always a mix of "yes, that's right" and "what the fuck is up with this, and these images that have nothing to do with the audio?"

The full lining on jackets being on the list surprised me 😅

Linings have pluses and minuses. Per my tailors it is a lot harder to get a good drape without a lining (and some canvas). But unlined and partly lined are useful in hot climates. In cooler climates the lining is very useful - it helps with the drape, it protects the suit jacket from sweat, and it makes it a lot easier to get the jacket on and off.

Item 3 misses the point, if there was any. If at all, it would be about canvassing, rather than lining. And there we would get into floating vss. glued. Lining as such is not stiffening the jacket (much), and breathability depends on the chosen fabric.

Weight, wealth and wisdom are needed to follow this advice, it makes sense.

This was a great reminder that true elegance is often about knowing what not to buy. The points about logos, fit, and timeless style really stood out. 👌

I can't remember who said it, but I largely agree, "Your cologne should be a secret you share with the people you hug." If people can smell you from more than half an arm's length away, or for more than 30 seconds after you walk by, you are wearing too much.

The Duke of Windsor was especially fond of the knotted hankie.

Clark Gable was a 44 regular with a 32 waist he got his suits made at Brooks Brothers.

Never heard the lining point ever in a long life. In a cold climate a lining is much appreciated.

This is a great site, but the text is too long, too inefficient.

Breoni and italian suits do not have full lining, in UK it makes sense not so Italy in summer.

Can you name well-dressed men that are alive today and not men that were already old in the middle of last century? More recent and relatable examples?

And where, pray tell, are middle class men supposed to shop for bespoke garments made of the finest quality materials? -It's easy for kings, oligarchs, and celebrities to dress well.

What's left of the middle class is struggling to keep the lights on.
