I just found a 20 years old  holiday tape, I suspected that my DVCPRO deck is dirty but I had to put the tape and it chewed it. I remembered the vhs tape trick but I was not sure... thank you sir.

Thank you for this very informative video. I noticed you create a slight overlap; please note that it's important to specify that this must be done in the direction the tape is scrolling. Have a good day!

Splicing tape is a PITA thing, I've got the metal tape cutting guide, several rolls of repair tape, "special razor blade"😉 The tape alignment plate accepts 4 or 5 different sizes of tape.  I bet you have one too.

At least it's not Sony MiniDV tapes other than it's Fujifilm MiniDV tape.

Omg I think Ive got one of those, but I dont have a player. I got one years ago at the LA Recording Workshop

Is it possible to save a portion of tape that has been chewed up. Or is it better to just cut that part out.
