The camera angle, the white beach and blood ocean with random things sticking out, the night sky, and shadow being over top of a laying down Maria just like shinji and asuka. At first i thought this looked like that and i was like “there’s no way, I gotta be crazy right” but i looked it up again and compared and that’s definitely what they were going for

Couple little things, the render at 51:26 is in the final game, it's in the stage select of the 2P mode. Also the heal unit is indeed in the final game, not just the gun but the actual item, fully functional and actually appears in numerous levels (The Doom, Lethal Highway, Space Gadget, Cosmic Fall just off the top of my head, I think it was even in Circus Park)

I remember finding Who I Am by Magna-Fi years ago and being genuinely so upset it wasn't used as the main theme. It's such a cool track and I really hope they get to make music for the series again

"could you imagine the goofy villain that is dr eggman laughing at people slowly and painfully dying?" yes, actually. I think that sounds extremely in character, if it's something he caused. and he would do this. reminder that this is the same character that:
- launched an icbm (if not straight up a nuke) at a densely populated urban city
- has enslaved different species several times (eg. the little animals in badniks; the wisps)
- has straight up captured at least three planets (little planet, planet wisp, the lost hex
- has unleashed, controlled, or manipulated at least three gods or god-like beings (chaos, dark gaia, the time eater)
- has shattered the crust of the earth
- blew up half the moon as a threat
- wants to replace most organic life with machinery (in at least some games)
- has altered spacetime itself (sonic generations)
and this is just some of the examples from the games. not even all of them. and if we start including other media sources too... well. I'm sure you're aware of the metal virus?

Great game development history video, and grateful to see more things to bring myself into thought more than my discoveries than before (such as the Menu Tracks and Maria mentioning the Radar from that image you showed). I'm glad some of these unused voice clips that no one has yet added in TCRF are getting mentioned from the Sonic Wiki.


Want to mention a few things here for you.

That Rouge pulley clip was most likely meant for the area next to the Secret Door as when you grab a pulley and make your way down to a railway at the end dodging the lasers along the way (not to get confused with the braces, which are the ring-like pulleys). A Hint Ring is actually found right next to it in the Beta 4 build, but it appears to be broken.

Vector's Clip is also used in the final game, but it's just gets cut off. (Where all you get to hear is "Nooo!!"). The text for it can be seen in-game though.

That unused tank there that is mentioned has no proof of it being a ridable vehicle, outside of possibly Eggman's voice clip maybe (though that would be pretty sick though). All we have mentioned from it is being a flippable object in Central City.

Love to see a sequel if you decide to make one due to the ridiculous amount of unused voice clips there are.
