Sometimes comic book creators try things and then abandon them. Maybe they gave a superhero too weird a power. Maybe they made them too strong. Maybe they just forgot. This is a list of ten Marvel superheroes who have little known or forgotten abilities. From Wolverine to Spider-Man to Hulk and many more, this is just fun, obscure comic book trivia.

Sub-Mariner actually had electrical powers? Huh. I guess I owe the 1991 Spider-Man Sega arcade game a HUGE apology.

Carnage traveling through the internet to kill people. Also hacking software. He does it in the second Venom movie too, it’s so stupid lol.

I can also talk to spiders, but they never listen or answer

If this included DC, the entire list would be Superman. Super-knitting anyone?

To be fair, since the wheels are theoretically always inside his suit, Iron Man HAS beaten Fin Fang Foom with rollerskates.

One of my favorite forgotten powers is how versatile Spiderman's spider senses were early in his existence. For example, Spiderman was able to decipher a written note that had been burned by creating an impression of it with his webbing and then uses his spider senses to "detect" the message ( ASM annual 1).

It's not as obscure as the ones in the list but I always found it amusing that among Hulk's amazing powers he has the lesser known ability of always being able to find his way to new mexico

X-Men is littered with forgotten powers.

Gambit's charm ability.

Nightcrawler's ability to blend into shadows.

Psylocke being able to move through shadows.

(Arch)Angel's healing blood.

I'm sure the list goes on, but those were the ones that came immediately to mind.

Chris gained the one-time power of winning claw games but it was retconned out by the end of the video.

My favorite forgotten power is Thor's ability to hear prayers directed to him. It was in the iconic Walt Simonson run and even in the famous God Butcher storyline, but not a lot of writers seem to acknowledge it.

in Devilman Volume 4, page 200, Akira Fudo (or Devilman) showed he had the power to phase through walls.. but he never did this before or again when this would have perhaps been useful, lol.

1:54 That’s really funny, I just started rewatching Iron Man Armored Adventures and they had a little reference to that

3:25 anyone who played Marvel vs Capcom 3 will definitely know about Doctor Strange's martial arts, thanks to his palm loops :face-blue-smiling:

6:22 I assume by fish radar he means the thing sharks do where they can sense animals based on the subtle electric current made by animals movement

On the Wonder Woman teevee show, she ONCE gently commanded a bird to perch on her finger and telepathically spoke with it. It saw where the villain went.
