Undertale relevant in [current year]? Unbelievable. Very, very probable. This game is really good though, you should play it.

Big ol' fat list of corrections :)

3:28 - I somehow forgot that Chara existed??
3:35 - Using He/Him for Clover is my mess up. I'm still genuinely sorry about that.
6:22 - Horrible take, tf was I on about? Undertale having so much empty space makes locations feel cramped which works with the narrative of how the monsters are trapped in this claustrophobic prison. Yellow just simply has the better pixel art.
11:55 - "kill all the areas in the location you're in", lol how.
16:46 - A complete nitpick, but being harder on the mic with the headphones would've made it funni.
19:17 - AHHHHHH WHY DIDN'T I SPACE THE TEXT IN THIS CORRECTLYYYYY
23:45 - Literally anyone else wouldn't have worked. She still sucks and is a horrible mother and I don't care about her problems because she did this to herself.
31:25 - It actually has two, the one here, and the one in the genocide route. It's still less than the original so my point still stands.
36:25 - Wonder how that's going...

:)))

26:56 The "Someone called for help" is there as a flashforward reference to the Omega Flowey fight in the original Undertale. There, Clover is "answering the call" by offering their assistance to Frisk, along with the other souls

Fun Fact (that might be wrong but i'm pretty sure is right): Vigorous Terrain wasn't actually supposed to have Flowey's theme in it, they accidentally used it cause it sounded cool

@23:27-.-This is actually a common misconception. Chujin was trying to make a serum that could turn normal monsters into boss monsters, The method of doing this was by first combining a boss monster soul with a human soul, and then synthesize the serum from the resulting soul. However, Chujin eventually realized that a boss monster cannot absorb a human soul if it's "corrupted", and so he instructs Ceroba to wait for a pure hearted human in order to use that soul with a boss monster to make the serum. The serum Ceroba injects into Kanako is an otherwise unrelated serum invented by Ceroba as a method of getting around the pure of heart limitation, and is not the serum that Chujin wanted to make.

Moray is nice…
Ace is serious…
Mooch is thief, prolly not a good trait for a lawmaker…
And Ed gets hit by a train.

That is something I HATE about genocide. Marlet is not harder than sans because they made a difficult boss, but because they made Marlet really say "Random bullshit GO!!!!!!" and not make her fight at least a little bit balanced.

One thing you didnt mention that I really like is Flowey's reaction after the fight with AXIS. He's left stunned and speechless before asking Clover what the hell that was. Flowey in no timelines ever expected to see the justice beam.

I do find it interesting how Frisk's actions determine if Clover's sacrifice was in vain or not. Plus, if True Pacifist is met, not only did Clover's sacrifice make a difference in the end, but they supposedly come back to life along with the rest of the dead kid as the coffins at the end are empty.

15:45 fun fact, this motif was unintentional/subconscious. The person who created that song (I forget which one made it) cane up with it while idly wistling and didn't realize it was in there until it was pointed out to them.

I'm not watching this right now, i'm just here to boost starter engagement.

Sure, Undertale may have executed repetetive encounters poorly, but you cannot give Yellow the same bad outlook on that. Actually, I find it better that Yellow did it the same as Undertale becuase it's SUPPOSED to be like that. That's honestly what makes it truly FEEL like Undertale. For example booting up into a mini encounter when a overworld projectile hits you. I'm so happy they didn't do it like Deltarune because it isn't supposed to be like Deltarune, it's Undertale. Little things like that make me love the game even more.

Ceroba could not use ANY monster. She needed a boss monster. And other then kanako you only have asgore as far as we know.

What's crazy is the references within uty's music of it's own music. There's bits of Justice in the beginning of A Mother's Love, and from the main game near the middle of it is one of the main tracks from UnderTale during the asriel dreemurr bossfight !

The part at the end of Pacifist where somebody calls for help is actually Frisk during the Omega Flowey fight calling out to Clover for help as he awakens to aid Frisk along with the other human souls to defeat Flowey which got me hyped when I came to the realization, I can imagine the reunion with Flowey being like ¨Hey... Clover! Nice to see ya again ol´pal! W-why the frowny face buddy? Heh heh, aren't cha happy to see your best and only friend Flowey again😅¨ and Clover is like ¨Bro, I have no idea what the heck you were on when I gave up my soul cause were going to have a long talk about all this madness going on, but right now we're going to have to stop you from killing this fellow yellow human kid with a blue and purple striped shirt here, plus we also get our freedom back so.... sorry buddy😐¨

I would like to point out that if you get certain FUN numbers, different things will show up the pillars in the ruins. The pillars seem to depict how the whole Snowdin Attack. On the third pillar, it depicts a ballerina (the blue integrity soul), with a chunk missing where their head should be, and what looks like a splatter. Which heavily implies that AXIS BLEW THE HEAD OFF THAT KID

jarvis, install undertale 2 on his computer, force him to beat the ignoramus route

TS underswap is another fangame that I think will be absolutely incredible when it drops

The demo is already criminally good as well

@zeekybluu7031 2 years ago

I will say, I think the Pacifist ending for me personally makes sense. Seeing as Clover had already been preparing themself to die, as they realized their fate was sealed about halfway into the game, they probably wanted to give Ceroba some kind of peace before they allowed her to take their soul. It would make sense considering they wanted to help those in the Underground.

Honestly Axis and the Steamworks really grew on me the more i played the game, and i already really loved both. I may be biased towards robots but Axis is by far my favorite character in this game, funniest too.

imagine if frisk fell after the genocide yellow route in yellow being told about asgore all game and just finding out that hes dead with a huge blast in the throne room
like that would be so good
we need that
