For eighty years, every fighter pilot on Earth lived by one rule: the airplane that climbs faster, turns harder and sees the enemy first wins. On March 21, 2025, the U.S. Air Force announced the fighter designed to break that rule — the Boeing F-47, America's first sixth-generation fighter, now being built in St. Louis.
In this documentary, aerospace engineer Wei Chen explains what the Air Force has actually revealed (Mach 2+, a 1,000+ nautical-mile combat radius, "stealth++", at least 185 jets, first flight targeted for 2028), why its robot wingmen — the YFQ-42A and YFQ-44A — are the real revolution, the honest truth about China's J-36 and J-50, and the four problems that could still go wrong.
At the end: the number hidden in its name, and why it points back to 1947.
