Dan is an absolute model railway repair genius! - This loco means so much to me as my wife bought it. This lad goes above and beyond to fix issues and is a superstar of problem solving! Please support the channel, donate and support, because Dan is one in a million. BTW this is my genuine opinion and hasn't been influenced by anyone! I am so grateful to him for getting this loco back operational.

Well done Dan

You & OOBill: the Gods of loco re-lifing & the model railways equivalents of Car SOS.

Keep up the great work, Sir!

Dan, you will pleased to know that this 66 and the Royal Scotsman version that you repaired are still running perfectly and don't miss a beat whatever is asked of them!

Happy New Year!

Royal Mail up to their usual standards of care but glad you were able to make a good repair Dan 👍

Another fine job Dan, and a good work around with the motor.

Nice one Dan the Hattons 66 is brilliant.

Many thanks for the URL Dan!! Cheers Onno

subbed to james wish i could edit as good as he has

Great video as always xxx

That's a lovely model, very reminiscent of my era of train history. Happy to drop your lad a sub to help him out 👍.

Hi Dan Loved your presentation. Will be sending off my items this coming Monday, including a Hatton's 66, 66705 GBRf.

Hi, very good video of the first ultra detailed locomotive that was let down by build quality issues at the factory, these issues made their way to customers due to poor quality control, I’m still baffled why Accurascale received an award for a locomotive that had already been designed and built by Hatton’s, Accurascale did a good job in most cases but redesigned this loco to receive a lesser speaker in the EM1 guise where as the original Hatton’s model housed an EM2 superior speaker, personally the Cavalex class 56 was clearly the better model in every department than the refurbished Accurascale offering but hey we live in an strange unpredictable world. I have an Hatton’s class 66 model that runs very well and all the issues have been addressed and sorted like the rotating axel boxes and the mesh roof detail that came adrift, RMweb have a large section on the Hatton’s class 66 and references to where parts can be obtained, Accurascale have literally engineered a lot of the Hatton’s model out of the class 66 and made it easier to work with which is a good idea, I believe the newly tooled Bachmann class 66 will be better and hope to get one when a livery that appeals to me is announced, thanks for sharing.

There's a coincidence.  I saw that exact loco pass through Rugby a couple of weeks ago

Super vid as usual been looking for liquid  Brasso
Like trying to get a Dr appointment

A nice job in replacing the motor in this Hattons Class 66. It is running well pulling the rake of 20 wagons. Dan, did this loco have the troublesome bogie issue that the Hattons 66s were plagued with already fixed? I have to say a very neat looking layout with its scenic views during the running session on it.

Hi dan i bet in few weeks the motor will turn up at yours
