“I’m not a street rat”
Your Not
“And I don’t have fleas”
You May😭😂😂

I miss old Disney so bad omg none of their new movies hit the same anymore :((

“only your fleas will mourn you” is devastating to say to someone like damn 😳

It's hard to hear Robin Williams without feeling emotional. I'm a working voice actor, and this movie has some history for us. He took the role of the Genie explicitly under the condition that they wouldn't use his name to do marketing - both because he hated the idea of marketing to impressionable kids (fun fact marketing directly to children was only made legal fairly recently at this time) and because he had respect for working voice actors and knew Hollywood would immediately jump on the trend of hiring film stars instead of voice actors to use star power for promotion. He saw the writing on the wall when Disney asked him to do this and laid a hard boundary. Thing is, Disney FULLY ignored it. They put his name ALL OVER promo, sold Genie toys aplenty, and the kicker is that Robin was right. The Genie is in fact the tipping point for animation using film stars and comedians instead of working voice actors in productions. After Aladdin the new it girl was Shrek, and the rest is history. Some film stars like Robin are immensely talented at voiceover! But it IS a different field and not all film actors are good at it, so the results have been.... eh. Looking at you Chris Pratt. Robin fought Disney HARD on them breaking their contract, and he refused to reprise in the sequels until they made things right. Anyway RIP Robin, you will forever be missed and appreciated for the effort.

Fun fact: The singing voice of princess Jasmine is Lea Salonga, one of the Philippines’ most beloved and cherished singers, and she’s also the singing voice of Mulan!! 🥰❤️

For a man who wasn't a trained singer, Robin Williams had pipes. I love the way he sang "Friend Like Me" and "Prince Ali" as Genie.
RIP, Legend

"You may. Thats okay, you can wash them out" 😂. I love you. Hahaha

And a lot of the genies lines were improvised, they often said to Robin to wing it, or him just doing it himself, hence also why this movie is so hilarious 😉😊
They had so many hours of unused footage of him just having fun 🤩

One of my golden 4 fav Disney movies 🥹
Aladdin was also my first animated crush - and Jafar along side Hades & Maleficent are my fav Disney villains 👌🏼
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, RIP Robin 😭

I think you would love the live action version!

The soundtrack is so good!!❤❤

To add to the Robin Williams love in the comments, he was a major queer/trans ally and drag supporter. He will forever be a light on this world

Ohh it hasnt even started yet and I am already so here for this!

7:56 oh I got chills of nostalgia 😭I miss watching these movies all the time when I was younger! Nothing like it 😢

The live action is my absolute fave but I loved this one too!

i love this movie!! Aladdin was really my man when i was like 6 yrs old😭 and i always thought jasmine was an underrated princess you’ll never hear people say she’s their favorite princess but her and Tiana were always my favs

10:52 she doesnt realize how bad it is out there. She wants freedom, but at what cost to find love.

32:42 okay vocals. I'm here for it

43:24 You should watch the Anastasia animated movie, it's based on the fall of the Romanov empire. Many people count Anastasia as a Disney princess, even thought the movie is by * checks notes * 20th Century Fox, because it was released around Disney's golden era of 2D animation.

I stumbled on your channel today and I’ve been loving your movie reactions. Your giggle is adorable and makes me smile every time!
