Back in my day, these typa videos used to have Raiden, Bennett, Xingqui, Xiangling, Kuki, Sucrose, Nahida, Furina, and Kazuha.

Did not expect Jello to set standards in a video out of the gate that are at my level rather than Fearless+.

It makes me sad most the older characters just might as well not be there anymore.

"What is she reading? Oh my God, it's Nilou and Sunday!" 🤣

Thanks for this! I’m not ftp as I’m a welkin and BP player but I have been frustrated with how fearless-oriented a lot of YouTube content is. It’s nice to see stuff for the players who just wanna get their primos and clear baseline stuff

Aino being number 2 (though order is arguable/not important as stated) is pleasantly surprising. Imo, people have overlooked her as a good replacement slot for off field hydro application, especially new players. The other best off field hydro are either furina, xinqiu, or columbina, none of which are given for free unlike aino. Part of the reason why she isn't talked about much is probably because a lot of the more seasoned players (who are definitely more credible than new players in most scenarios) overlook the fact that new players will not have the other off field hydro appliers, as their existence is basically taken for granted. Love to see that this didn't happen from jello ❤

I want to add that I really enjoy watching off-meta spiral abyss clears. There are a few YouTube channels that do this. They show that you can get really creative with your teams and it's another way of enjoy the game.

Thanks for this. All of my friends that play genshin do not care about meta but they sometimes struggle with weekly bosses and other 'harder' fights meta players breeze through.

I find characters that heal are also underrated by better players, my casual friends would never run without a healer even with a shielder on the team.

It can be easy for us as powergamers to get out of touch with the fact that most gamers enjoy things way more casually. Most of my friends who play genshin have never tried abyss 10 or menacing stygian. They might level 90 their favourite character because of the personality and design and dont even care what a dps or support even means.

Added value to Citlali is her lift-off solving many exploration problems

I actually think Chasca has a place here. Her verticals mean that instead of pulling supports, you can pair her with multiple 4 star teams and actually wind up saving quite significantly :3

Thanks for making this video, Jello. As a more casual player, seeing more vids like these is really nice for people like me who don't go crazy try hard and don't have every character and a ton of resources. I def need to build more of the characters you mentioned who I do own (Sucrose, Mavuika, Chev, Iansan, Durin, etc.) Hearing you talk about these characters and the best ways to make them work is what keeps players engaged with the game.

I agree with Zibai. I started playing just in 6.1 and are free to play. I pulled Zibai and Columbina, and they just wrecked everything. I played Zibai with Gorou and Illuga and they just did so much damage clearing any content. I did eventually get Linnea too because it was annoying not having a dedicated healer while running Hairbinger of Dawn, but, its barely a dps increase over Gorou c6 unless your Illuga is also C6. ZIbai is also very easy to play compared to Flins and especially Nefer. Also have to say, having Varesa and Xilonen makes exploration so chill. Currently running Varesa/Linnea/Columbina/Xilonen in my exploration team and its just laughably chill.

2:34 You don’t have to work for hard mode at all, because it’s so easy. I think menacing being a goal is more realistic, since that’s when you actually need to build three teams and care about enemy mechanics. For hard mode, you can just pull pretty much any DPS and solo the bosses in ten minutes.

@redlok3455 4 months ago

F2P also means having to grind for resources more than P2W.
So, a Linnea who sweeps up ores on the overworld, saving you a ton of time, is a valid argument to get her.

Feels weird after watching a meta focused channel for so long to admit I'm really not a meta player, but i felt your criteria at the beginning of the video was exactly accurate for the type of player i am and accurate for my and my friend's accounts.

@dualwieldroxas358 4 months ago

Xilonen would be my guess for top 5.

She is just generally a huge boost to most teams, and can substitute dozens of BiS supports

@OniGanon 4 months ago

With good enough supports you can wheelchair almost anything into a functional DPS. With that in mind my choices would be:
Columbina, Ineffa, Linnea, Lauma C1, Furina, Escoffier, Citlali, Xilonen, Nicole, Mavuika

This assumes you'll get most of the 4 stars as a matter of course. You shouldn't be pulling for them specifically unless you want the 5 star on the banner.

@Daivd1111 4 months ago

I cleared fearless in the last Stagian for the first time. And I was quite anxious about keep clearing fearless this time. But alas, I can't, no Zibai. But after that, I actually feel a weight off my shoulder. Because now that I failed this time, there is no pressure to keep doing fearless. I can just go back to doing menacing

During Snezhnaya people will wake up and call Nahida a must pull again, because she doesn't have any team restrictions. Nahida and Hyperbloom (Xingqiu/Barbara + Kuki) are still game changing on every F2P account and it's so cheap to build. On the other hand, Lauma's value will drop hard during Snezhnaya, if the Dendro + Cryo reaction should come true. And there's no 4 star Dendro character who comes even close to Nahida's Dendro application.
