We headed up to the Newnes Plateau for what was supposed to be a brilliant weekend of 4WDing and exploring. Our original plan was to show off the plateau and explore as much as possible before National Parks block and gate off so many of the existing tracks in the area as part of their master plan they are implementing.
The tracks were fun and threw a few solid challenges our way. We had an amazing time checking out the Lost City, navigating a canyon you can actually drive right through, and visiting Maiyingu Marragu (Blackfellows Hand Cave). We also tackled the Angus Place Track (Mildly challenging) and the Beecroft fire trail, with the Triton handling it all perfectly. (Almost)
Everything was going exactly to plan... right up until an unexpected disaster struck and completely killed the weekends trip. Watch until the end to see exactly what happened!
