Good choice. I recently bought one myself and I love it, great value. It sounds great off the shelf in my opinion. I don't like the mirrors, they lack adjustment, especially up and down. The throttle is also very touchy, especially when taking off from a standstill. Those are the only negatives that I have found so far. Positives outweigh the negatives 10 fold.
"loud pop coming from the front of the bike whenever you revved it" tighten the exhaust header bolts/nuts to the spec - they tend to "loosen up" in the first few hundred miles (due to heat expansion and vibration). The excess pressure from the high flow of the exhaust gases can open the join up and let air sucked in and mixing with the hot exhausts gases that explode in the header. That can cause internal damage. It's usually part of the first service, but won't hurt to roll into the dealer to do it for you early.
Nice choice! CFMoto is rockin.. Bosh fuel injection is another deciding factor. Design/Form/Fit/Functionality is as good as any mid level Japanese bike. Way beyond the drop ship dual sports (Lifan was VGood) I started with.
Have to be careful running the bike hard with the breakin oil in it that why it says not to get the bike over 4k rpm till after 620 miles and you get that first service and oil change done
3:25 same with my bike dude!!! If I Rev it in a certain way(don't know how I did it) it makes a big pop in the front and I was like wtfff was that, what do think it is? Just got my first ever bike with 800 miles
Nice video mate! If i may ask would you recommend this bike for a tall rider? And regarding the updates, are dealerships doing them for the throttle control?
I heard if the dealerships do not integrate the latest updates, which has to do with throttle mapping, you will continue to have random "shutoffs" CFMOTO is aware of the problem, that's why they put out a new update to the system which has taken care of the stalling problem. Maybe worth looking into?!
