This Friday we will resume our teaching series in the gospel of Mark titled, "Mark, the Gospel of the Servant of God." As we begin chapter fourteen, the feast of Passover is only two days away, and the religious leaders are seeking how to seize Jesus and kill Him (14:1). The writer (Mark) then describes an incident in Bethany, at the home of Simon the Leper. Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, had a very costly perfume contained in an alabaster vial. She then broke the vial and anointed Jesus' head and feet with the costly perfume. In another gospel it states that she wiped His feet with her hair. Some at the home scolded her for "wasting" this perfume which could have been sold to help the poor, but Jesus commended her for it (14:3-8). He also predicted something amazing about Mary's faith and devotion. Would you like to know what He said? Well come and join us for Friday night Shabbat services and find out. Our services begin at 7:30 P.M. We will have a special time of worship, our weekly Torah devotional, a special message in Mark's gospel, and warm food and fellowship at the close of our services. Come join us for a special night of worship and fellowship. We look forward to seeing you there.
