I once went to a riot and a rock concert broke out 😅

Wyatt’s Riots

I was at Woodstock ‘99…I was 16yrs old and still have no idea how I convinced my parents to let me go with a friend who was 17yrs old at the time.  Long story short:  I was in the thick of the crowd during Limp Bizkit and Rage Against The Machine’s sets on my way up to the front for Metallica.  No idea how I only came away with a bad sunburn.  When idiots started surfing on plywood, I thought FOR A SECOND “that would be cool as fuck…” but then realized, ya know, injuries could happen if I fell off or if someone on them fell off on top of me.  So yeah, I avoided those folks.  For the rest of Limp Bizkit and through Rage Against The Machine, I advanced through the crowd, inching closer to the front.  Made it to the rail by the time Metallica started playing “One” though. 🤣. Skipped seeing any bands on the next day and ended up going into town for a chill day and some “real” food at McDonald’s (up to this point, we’d been surviving off a bag of Ruffles, a loaf of bread, and a $10 cup of french fries).  By the time we got back to the airbase, we decided it would be a good idea to hit the road and avoid traffic….best decision we ever made!!!  I will never forget waking up in my bed the next morning and my Dad telling me “they burned down your Woodstock festival.” 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

The Bring Me the Horizon one is low-key pretty wholesome lmao

Aww, there's a kitty kat in the chair.

You know it’s getting cold in California when Wyatt is wearing a long sleeve shirt😂😂😂

Quiet Riot was definitely the worst.

Chop Suey! comes on
Me at 33 years old: “Oh shit I’m late for class!”

My oldest sister was at that G&R show.  She still regrets not stealing a tour shirt from the merch table on her way out..

Speaking of Germany - you forgot the biggest riot in history there over a concert. David Hasselhoff brought an entire massive wall down! Everyone was at it with pick-axes, hammers… it was ferocious and all over The Hoff’s songs!

10:30 Really gives a new meaning to "Gimme Shelter"

When you realize all that mud at Woodstock '99 wasn't caused by rain...
I never really thought about that until someone mentioned it.
People were walking around in and diving into piss coming from the overflowing toilets.

…So the moral of the story is that a free concert from a popular band usually culminates in a riot…

3:02 *whispers "they're trying to build a prison." 🤫

The Who sound check comes to mind, but that is more of a disaster in which 11 people did lose their lives.

My friend's father was one of the police officers at the Toronto Alice Cooper show. As soon as this video started I told my wife all about the riot figuring it would never make the list! Awesome job on another video!

I met a guy at a record store who said he went to Woodstock 99 when he was younger, and he said he had a fantastic time despite the terrible festival conditions.

Absolutely expecting GNR to be somewhere on the list with a specific emphasis on Axl.

I only riot at Dark Insanity concerts!:_Inferno::_Shred::_PFD::_Mosh:

These history videos are why I started watching this channel in the first place. Love seeing them!
