Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2 | BOLD Prediction — Stoppage in Round 6 or 7!

The fight of the year gets its run back on the 17th of November at the O2 Arena — Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2. Repeat or revenge? 🥊

In this video, I break down the first fight with clear eyes — past the blood and the bruising — and look at what really happened. The round one knee. The round three knockdown. Fabio Wardley's 148 power punches and the 109 that missed. And why Daniel Dubois still has something to prove about his heart after the Alexander Usyk defeat.

Barry McGuigan says Fabio Wardley won't have come out of that first fight unscathed. I respectfully disagree — and here's why I think Fabio Wardley's punch resistance is the best in the business, and why he STOPS Daniel Dubois in round six or seven.

Am I away with the fairies — or am I onto something? Drop YOUR prediction in the comments below, I read every single one. 👇

Fabio Wardley is going to beat Dubois this time, I genuinely believe this will be sweet revenge, do you agree or am I away with the fairies! Let me know what you think, enjoy the fight and take care of yourselves 🙏

Sticking your neck on the line here again Kirk, love it

2:05 I swear I was thinking the same thing this morning, that surely Warldey's punch resistance would have reduced since that battering he took. DDD quicker this time

What adjustments did Wardley make in his rematch against Clarke? I would like to know please... He caught Clarke and Clarke made a very bad mistake...

Wardley's approach is to try and patronise Dubois, and his cloying "can't we be friends, Daniel?" isn't working on him, and I'm glad it isn't. I'm genuinely not sure where this prediction is coming from tbh - Dubois didn't get hit properly because he didn't let him. It's not something Wardley forgot to try.

I think Fabio Wardley was a victim of his own success in the first fight - if he hadn't dropped Dubois so early he might not have fallen into the trap of spamming the overhand right from the outside the way he did... but having said that, i don't think a victorious strategy for Wardley is as simple as saying "get behind the jab and pick your punches" - Dubois' jab is a big problem for Wardley to solve, it's faster than Wardley's jab and more powerful... i think when Wardley does jab he needs to vary it, double it up, shoot it to the body and he also needs to feint or he's going to be too predictable again - also i think the context matters when you talk about Dubois potentially quitting... he's only quit in fights where he's either properly hurt (Joyce) or where he feels he's not in the fight & can't land on his opponent (Usyk) - he's shown in the previous Wardley fight, along with the fights against Miller & Hrgovic that putting it on him doesn't deter Dubois if he's still hitting his opponent at will - i could be wrong but i find it hard to see Wardley winning this one, usually when someone takes that kind of beating the rematch goes worse for them.

9:00 if you put the optics of the gore aside, you will see that Fabio was in trouble because he can't really box and was being outclassed. He can throw a mean punch and has a terrific chin, but that's it. Dubois already adapted to his style after the two knockdowns. Fabio HAD a chance to win, but I'm pretty confident he will never have that chance again. I think they worked expertly with Davison to exploit Dubois' tendencies, and got that first knockdown when Wardley used his left hand to push Dubois' left hand to the side and then hit him with the right once his habitual defence was gone... It's hard to imagine they've found some other elements of surprise this time, and Wardley simply can't suddenly learn how to box in just a few months. So with Wardley's rematch tactics boxing is out the window and he's once again left to rely on the knockout... Very dangerous fight for him in so many ways. I think Round 5 stoppage due to Wardley's split face. This time they won't let him get tortured like last time. Last time they banked on his late round surpise stoppage which he had succesfully done before. This time around they will see him being outclassed from the get go and stop it early to save his life. But with that said, if Wardley wins this like you predicted, I will subscribe!

I think this will be worse for Wardley...he hasnt had enough time to adjust for the one sided beating he took last fight...this will break Wardley if he loses

Naa man. You were good predicting Hrgo over Itauma but I’m not giving you this one

I was adamant that Dubois was gunna win in may even though 99% of the boxing world was against me including the Duke

And I am sticking with Daniel this time too

Dubois inside 6

If Fabio were to drop Daniel like before, then there are two avenues Fabio can subsequently take:
1. Finish Dubois off.
2. Just box Dubois.

The first avenue comes with risks as Fabio can in turn be dropped and hurt by the hard hitting Daniel Dubois.

The second avenue is also perilous similar to Klitschko dropping Joshua in the 6th round then letting Joshua off the hook.

It will be a hard fight for Fabio. Plus he knows how hard Dubois hits and how hard it is to put him away.

Good luck with the prediction.

I like to conclude with the following: Jersey Joe Walcott fought a brilliant fight with Rocky Marciano but got stopped in the very end. In the rematch Walcott remembered the first fight and how hard he had worked only to be stopped. Then Walcott just gave up in the rematch with Marciano in the first round primarily, because of the memories from the doomed first fight.

Wardley by 8....DD will use the knee before being stopped

Brave and calculated and a good call! Fabio can do it for sure. If Fabio can be first and make significant contact with the jab and when Dubious moves forward in straight lines, Fabio can counter him. A Fabio masterclass in counter punching and the use of the jab. Two great fighters, role on Saturday 🎉
