This heat wave in Los Angeles is stifling!  So we better stay close to the beach to let that crispy Pacific water help keep us cool.  On this ride, we go along the coast until the South Bay, at which point we head inland, not too far, to a neighborhood called Lawndale.  Here we go to a park with some fantastic water features, helping us stay cool even more, check out where an NBA superstar got his start, and then head back through the airport to get some more planespotting in.  I don't know if anything can beat the A380 that took off right in front of us along the beach, but I will take a ride by the airport any day.  Good thing it's right by the ocean!
