Something you missed with Mist: When Tanith joins in Chapter 18 she has a Sonic Sword, which deals damage based off the Magic stat instead of Strength. Mist is tied with Ilyana for the 4th highest magic growth in the game. She can be an absolute BEAST of an offensive unit if you give her the Sonic Sword. It's easiest to do if you promote her early so you can get her Sword rank up to B faster (she starts at D). Regardless of if I early promote I usually also give her the Arms Scroll from chapter 9 since there really isn't a great use for it outside of that, this means she only needs to rank her sword up once to use Sonic Sword which is really easy to do. If you play Maniac there's even a second Arms Scroll which lets her instantly use it.

Her defense isn't great so she won't be able to take a lot of hits but she has very decent Speed so it usually doesn't matter, she often ends up dodging everything, and even if she doesn't dodge, her super high Luck growth means Miracle will proc pretty often for her in a pinch. She isn't invincible but she can definitely be good glass cannon! And that's not even counting her usability as a mounted healer on top of that.

Nice. I definitely think Marcia is better than Jill in my limited Maniac experience. The better res is so crucial against siege tome spam, and I found Jill to have trouble getting enough speed to double, plus her speed cap is lower. Marcia’s strength is a bit worse, but there’s no one better to dedicate some forges to. Jill is still really good though.

Astrid with canton go shoot and retreat. Its a good unit. Broom in "Radiant Dawn" get him A support with Nphee and fight together. Will be a good unit worthwhile.

Nice to see a maniac mode tier list! There is not enough discussion about maniac mode online, though its understandable why that is, with it not being released in the west and all.

Mist can use canton when promoted. She heal and go back. Also use the sword that uses mag stats. They did bad on Oscar in radiant Dawn they nerf him big time and made Haart op. Yes Reinforcement its the best,

I've ironmanned maniac and I used Rhys the entire run but bloody hell I don't think I could place him above B. He'd be approximately in the same spot as weaker pallies IMO (Makalov/Astrid/Geoffrey) as a unit that does his job reasonably well but is easily replaced, at least IMO. He's basically just a healer.

Also I'd bump Geoffrey up to at least B. I liked him. Pallies are super reliable in PoR maniac. All it really takes is Sol and they are mostly self sufficient.

Tanith is mediocre combat IMO, but is entirely carried by reinforcements. A tier for sure. S feels too good for her.

Funny enough, NPC Marcia got herself killed on my first maniac Ironman on the one map (Gallia?) where you first have the subhuman allies with the beach and the 2 houses. She flew toward my Ike and got herself killed before talking to him 😂 so Jill carried my run instead. I live streamed the entire thing on YT. Jill is absolute MVP alongside Titania. Titania mostly only fell off for me in the last 3-4 maps, and still was able to do some chip.

You got way further than I would have. Maniac mode ironman is completely brutal. The best method I have found is load savestate. Great job!

I use Mia as a magic sword user. Her attack max is 23 and her magic Max is 20. With enemy resistance in this game, she's better off using the Sonic Sword and Runesword. Plus, she gets range. I use Hammerne on them to keep her equipped well.

Pretty good list. I don't think Sothe is that bad- you admitted Volke has bad combat anyway and sometimes you might want two thieves for the desert or chapters with lots of chests etc.

He has resolve, which allows him to one-round everything. Combined with his good bulk and 1-2 range he is definitely better than those C-tier lategame units.

Better than Stefan as well. Stefan is squishy and has no 1-2 range. Combined with his low luck, he almost always faced crit. Player phase combat units aren't great in PoR. So to have Stefan 2 tiers above Tauroneo...

A suggestion: Because you added the class  we are not able to see the sequence of characters below. SO please next time let us see the order of who you are talking about.

This might be the only tier list I agreed with on youtube. All the rest would throw every single unit f tier and put jill and Marcia as s tier, cavalry as a toer and basically end the video at that

+A-Tier: Kieran

A-Tier:  Soren, Volke, Mordecai, Ilyana, Astrid, Tauroneo

+B-Tier: Brom

B-Tier: Tormod, Elincia, Haar, Calill, Gatrie, Zihark

C-Tier: Janaff, Ulki, Makalov, Muarim, Largo

Drop-off Tier: Sothe, Titania, Rhys, Stefan, Lethe, Shinon, Mia

E-Tier: Laguz Kings, Geoffrey, Nasir, Ena

F-Tier: Ranulf, Devdan, Bastion, Rolf, Lucia

This is also taking into consideration boosting their conversations up to A and B altogether for boosted stats since in hard/maniac modes your units will be clumped together for defensive reasons.
