I did not get diagnosed until 34 years old (2011) after a meltdown.

In 2019, I had a chance encounter with an old school teacher.  I told him I was diagnosed Autistic aged 34.  And he said "Oh, if only we knew when you were at school, we could have given you the support you needed."

I was diagnosed when I was 50 and even though I have two grandchildren with different variations of it and I am a qualified clinical psychologist I still had never identified it in myself. Once I got over the initial surprise of it and started working with a specialist it was like a lightbulb switched on in my brain that I had been meaning to change for years. So many people have given up on me and my life sounds like I’m just making things up because it’s been so random and life threatening at times that they can’t really relate to me. To know that I’m not alone in the world and I’m not just weird is strangely comforting especially when I realise that compared to me Fern has had it so much worse. It’s good that someone who understands how it works is trying to help educate people on the way we think I wish growing up it had been more understood because in my experience it can be very isolating and lonely which is what I’m trying to help my grandchildren avoid going through although they have a lot of siblings who are very understanding of them. Thank you for everything you are doing Fern and thank you Richard for everything you do you are a brilliant comedian but you are not afraid to deal with important issues either I appreciate that.

As someone with Autism, I am looking forward to listening to this one.

(I also always feel tired, but I have since been advised to take Vitamin B12.  I feel less tired as I used to.)

I've been to see Fern twice and her appearance on TM is the only time I haven't wanted to break something because of seeing so much of myself reflected back at me. I'm undiagnosed, but I'm definitely on the spectrum.

Absolutely fantastic, that was so interesting, amusing, engrossing. Really enjoyable. I did pop off and watch Fern doing the travelator Task, it didn’t disappoint.

I keep seeing a robin in my caravan. I don't know how it gets in here. I have cats, so it's unlikely a real robin would want to come in here. I chase it round and it disappears.
My friend Robin, died about 6 months ago. I think it might be him. It is asid robins are messengers from the spirit world.
