Everything Dunkey said sounded like a lie he made up on the spot 😂

I always forget Dunkey did the 128 vid and the whole thing sounds like it’s leading to a punchline lol

To be fair, that death when talking to yellow toad isn't because of the toad itself, it actually happened because being out of bounds under the map like that will instantly kill mario if he's touching the floor too long, and unfortunately talking to the toad stops you in place for longer than the second it would take to kill Mario from the glitch.

27:46 "No amount of timing, listening to audio cues, or shouting into a microphone gives you any control over your own destiny" wow just like real life

When I worked for Kia (selling cars) my onboarding computer training was 'hosted' by a bootleg Phoenix Wright. And by bootleg, I mean it was Wright's Justice For All sprites ripped and popped into the module wholesale.

To their credit, it made me engage with the material more.

37:16 is that the guy who has the world record on Bowser’s Big Bean Burrito???!

that double dash gameplay hurts my soul

14:58 I noticed the reverse cup models have the trophy upside down :D I know they were never used in the full game but I really like that detail.

Baby Peach is a baby counterpart of the adult Peach, Baby Daisy is a baby counterpart of the adult Daisy and Baby Rosalina is a baby counterpart of the adult Rosalina.

Mama Mia the hour long clip shows are back!!

38:40 "There's so much more we can do..." like the guy who re-coded Mario 64 and got like twice the framerate because of all of the shitty code that the original programming team did.

Was not prepared for Dunky

Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask: Done in about a year, pretty much as a dare from one dev to the other.
Mario Sunshine: One of the best Mario titles, actively mentioned to be heavily rushed with a lot of cut content.
Mario 64: Literally one of the most influencial titles, and one of the best games, of all time. Developed by Japanese developers on American hardware using English instructions that they didn't understand very well.

It's telling that some of the best games ever made STILL had a ton of issues, but somehow still managed to work extremely well. Kinda telling when games are made with good reasons and not just "how can we milk everyone playing it?"

3:32 if i remember correctly, they made the Gamecube controller compatible through an update

I appreciate you using the footage of when I teamed up with Diddy Kong

37:15 I can't take dunkey seriously akjlgkljgd

dunkey jump scare, the scariest white man out there

I remember playing through Super Smash Bros. for the first time. The next game I wanted to try beating 100% was Mario Party. I played for maybe 3 hours before realizing the dice HAD to be rigged. I don't think I've ever really given a Mario Party title a fair chance since then. Needless to say, I'm happy to get a little confirmation after 20+ years

Dunkey sounds like a cartel boss lecturing his crew on making crystal meth at holding down territory.
