Nice reaction from you guys. I would recommend that, at least, you'll watch the strip down version of this song live at the Current. Only her and her backup singer on guitar. It's even more hunting.

My heart go out to you, Cindy, and we are all happy to have you (and your husband!) in our community — this song has been very important to my own journey in healing through trauma, as much as Aurora as a whole has been since the beginning of her career. I want to recommend Kalandra with their song ‘I am’, preferably with the music video as it beautifully illustrates the meaning with very charming stop motion animation. It is another song that has helped me comfort my younger self, and perhaps it will do the same to you. ♡

This was the very first live performance of the song (Nov 2nd 2017), and it was a completely unknown song at the time.
It was not released until ~11 months later on Sep 28th 2018 on the album "Infections Of A Different Kind (Step 1)".

I also highly recommend the acoustic version "Live at The Current" (March 1st 2019), either watching it privately or another reaction.

Thank you for sharing this song we could see how it affected you Cindy and it was great to hear how you found strength to remove yourself from an abusive relationship and find happiness. That can be hard for people to do.
The dramatic orchestration in this song does give one a feeling of impending tension and sets it very well.
The version she does live at The Current gives it an eerily haunting atmosphere and I urge you to take a look whenever you think you feel you can manage to.

One Aurora song I find a difficult listen is The Weight of Missing. There is only a visualiser available I think and from the title you can tell it’s going to be sad. Every time I hear it, it brings to mind a special friend we lost in a tragic accident and I fill up every time. It’s difficult for me to listen to but it is a beautiful song.

You would think that with a cathedral, a choir, a full orchestra, a 100k+ production value and a freakin harp to boot, this song just could not be performed better, but, as many commentators have already noted, the "live at the current" version,with a freakin ukulele and one backup singer, its just something out of this world. If this hit you like a brick, that version is like a 100 ton marmor block.

I think this performance is from her Christmas concert at Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, very old cathedral. Amazing chord there. I have seen the whole amazing concert from Finnish TV. She is captivating and beautiful performer. 💙

Aurora and her lyrics... always powerful and thought provocative. I suffer from childhood trauma and are slowly healing with treatment. And i also hugs my inner child ❤️ Its very important ❤️ I have a narccistic mother and even worse step father, but that dont matter anymore Thankfully. Shut them both out of my life, and that is one thing that gives me some sense of peace ❤️ Huuge respect for all survivors ❤ Love from Norway ❤

I agree with some of the others, the version at the Current is the best one. So haunting and beautiful harmonies with Silja. This one is Great too, but don't miss the other version. It's a must see.
