"Japan is NOT a theme park" should be printed in big letters, in every language, at every flight arrival gate.

This isn't just not understanding Japanese culture. It's a complete lack of common sense.

Also the whole yellow line thing isn’t even a tourist issue. THOSE YELLOW TRAIN LINES EXIST IN MANY OTHER COUNTRIES INCLUDING THE STATES!

As a Greek, I will say Americans have literally asked me how it felt worshiping Zeus. The disconnection they have from the rest of the world is honestly staggering

I am Japanese. For those of English-speaking countries, Japan has a huge language barrier. Since there is no need to speak English on a daily basis, many citizens can only speak Japanese. And Japan is not a place to entertain foreign people. It is a place where Japanese people live, speak Japanese and live their daily lives.
There are smartphones locally, so if you have any problems or want to say, please translate them. We are happy to help.
And many Japanese people do not discriminate based on their skin color or nationality. No matter what color your skin is, it's fine, pink or green. It's important to know what kind of behavior that person will do.
The sign for "Japanese only" wasn't that way from the beginning. It's not because I hate people from that country. There were so many selfish people that even good people had no choice but to draw a line together. Because it's not visible from the appearance. We had no choice but to protect ourselves. Neither the government nor the police protect us.
We sincerely welcome anyone from any country who is trying to get to know our country's culture and respect.
This country has maintained its unique culture and order, as it has been home to Japanese people and foreigners who like Japan and are trying to get along with it.
Don't use it as a black joke or analogy such as Nagasaki or Hiroshima. The Japanese are really disappointed. We will never make 9/11 a joke. It's such a tragic past, and it's impossible to do that when you think about the people you've been caught up in.
I'm still in my 20s. It's really painful to see Japan break down so rapidly. I hope they will return the calm Japan of childhood.

Don't let us be wary of good people from overseas. Don't forget that this is caused by foreigners who are unable to follow some manners. Race doesn't matter. Japan is not a theme park. It's where we live.

Translated using a translator. Sorry if it's difficult to read.

That poor girl looks like she wants to cry while people continue to take her picture. 😢 how can ppl not read the room!? Leave her alone

I am Native American and dance in traditional regalia and I have had people grab my beadwork and hair and ask if they touch my eagle feathers. I actually had to ask someone to delete a picture they took of my grandma and me when we were getting ready for a honor dance and the person got offended.  Respect for people and thier cultures needs to be emphasized.

9:39 😢 Poor Geisha. That woman who's recording her act like Geishas are animals in the zoo you need to chase to get quick photos. That was so rude.

The tourist riding Hachiko‘s statue should have been arrested, prosecuted, and deported

This video totally justifies the term ‘Baka Gaijin’.

The thing that annoys me is most of this stuff isn’t acceptable in MOST countries.

Dude the guy who had the speaker ON THE TRAIN was rude as fuck.

In 1987, I went to a "metal club" called Tsubaki House in Tokyo that had the "Japanese only" sign. I asked why and they said that a few weeks ago, a group of Americans came in and got stinking drunk and harassed all the girl customers and staff then trashed the place. I promised to behave and they let me in. Made a lot of friends that night. Mostly because I was wearing a Motorhead shirt.

That poor Geisha! My heart breaks for this woman. JAPAN IS NOT A THEMEPARK.

The dude with the speaker has terrorized Munich's subway stations as well and all of us hated him here already😭

My worst fear going to Japan would be being perceived as one of these dumb, annoying tourists, and its not like i was planning on going anytime soon, but this kinda makes me not want to go even in the future.

the bamboo vandalism and the woman climbing on the statue of hachiko upset me so much it made me cry. it's so so horrible.

The girl on the road wanted to be the protagonist of an isekai

This isn't even people misunderstanding the culture it's people being knowingly ignorant and rude

The reason why Japanese people don't talk on their cell phones or make noise on the train is because they understand that the train is a public space, different from the sofa at home. They've been taught that it's good manners to be considerate of others and not to cause them any inconvenience.
