Who's the more foolish? The fool or the fools who subscribe to him 😈

Hope you guys liked the reaction!

Alex digging himself deeper into a hole talking about Luke and Leia and the editor trying to fix it for him is so funny

No joke, but once a young woman made a cosplay of Luke's X-wing jumpsuit (the orange one with the white belts and helmet) BACK WHEN THE FILM RELEASED. There was no internet or much posters, meaning this teenager watched A New Hope DOZENS of times while sitting in the dark theater with a notebook and pencil to write details for the cosplay. Absolute legend.

Fun fact: the guy in the chewbacca suit really was that tall.  His audition amounted to him standing up when George Lucas entered the room, and Lucas looking at all 7'3" of him and saying "That's our guy."

I like that Alex REALLY doesn’t know anything about the mythos. Luke and Leia, Ben and Vader’s relationship. I can’t wait for the Empire watch.

Not going to lie, watching the editor's notes is what's killing me. Laughing so hard.

What few people realize is that the Death Star conference room scene is easily the best-written exposition-dump in any movie ever. You learn a ton from everything but never feel like anyone is looking into the camera and saying "So here's how the galaxy is politically organized . . . "

Always watching someone react to Star Wars for the first time is so special and amazing.

In reference to 30:57, my dad actually saw A New Hope in theaters in 77. He said that at the end of the movie, during the scene where everyone gets their medals, the entire theater was standing and cheering and losing their minds. Must have been something. Wish we had things that good, nowadays

The best part of this reaction was the editor's notes. He had me dying the whole time. Every Luke-Leia comment. Loving it...

My dad took me to see the original 5 or 6 times in the summer of 1977. I was 8. It was life changing. Even my dad, who was a WWII vet (for age perspective) loved it.

I absolutely loved all of the editor's notes during this. They had me cracking up because they were saying everything I was thinking.

I made an epiphany a while back that the droids were not allowed in the cantina BECAUSE THEY RECORD EVERYTHING and it is a shady place with shady crap going down.

The editor notes are spectacular. Thank you for saying what we’re all thinking.

The fact that you could put yourself in the frame of reference of 1977 is fantastic.  To many reviewers are jaded by the current state of things and don't appreciate just how groundbreaking this was.

Vader, saying, "I find your lack of faith... disturbing," while he force-chokes the guy from across the room, is one of the most badass villain lines on screen.

39:09 I've seen people say its like a medieval fantasy. young boy gets a magic sword and gets help from a wizard. they defeat the big bad and save the princes from the "tower". hits all the bells and i can't stop thinking about it

As someone who first saw this in 1977 at age 10 you have made a middle-aged man very happy 🙂

The editor's notes re. Luke and Leia were a highlight 🤣

Remember - no spoilers for Episode 5 and 6 in the comments! Let him experience it as we did :D

I truly envy the experience of getting to enjoy the Star Wars movies for the first time. Some are better than others, but much like pizza, even when it's not great, it's still pretty good
