After a short stopover in Helsinki, it's time for me to continue my trip around the Baltic, with a ferry crossing to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

The MyStar is very new, so hopefully should look pretty smart, and the journey itself only takes 2 hours so I'll still have some time left over in the day to explore Tallinn.

Thank you for two very good films, Stockholm to Helsinki and Helsinki to Tallinn. I will be making the same trip in September so it was very informative to watch and also very well filmed and edited.

You are a great narrator to your videos. Great imagery too. And then here and there focus on some technical aspect. Brilliant.
It reminds me a bit of that series "Swiss railway journeys" many decades ago.

In fact, its not cruiseferry at all. Its a SHUTTLE. And its literaly job is move cargo, vechickles and peoples from A to point B.

Did you know there's a connection between Helsinki railway station and the Gateway arch monument in Saint Louis? Their architects are father and son. Eliel Saarinen designed the station and his son Eero the monument in Saint Louis.

That ferry terminal is something else! I do love Tallinn - it's one of my favourite cities in Europe. Peter the Great's house is definitely worth a look!

It is a much bigger terminal than the one I arrived at from Stockholm to Tallinn on the MV Estonia in 2002.

Time to time you can get Helsinki - Tallinn crossing starting from 10€ or so from Viking Line.

Good stuff👍🏻 Very imressive ferry terminals with the long walkways keeping passengers out of the elements. A nicely kitted out ship, good to see the Finns still do their own shipbuilding unlike the UK.

This was a rather nice looking ferry mate and there were some similarities with the Silja Serenade too with some of the eateries. I’ve done the Viking and Eckero ferries on his route and tbh this one looks better. I think it may be slightly more expensive though.

Great video Johnny. Like i said in my last comment on your Stockholm to Helsinki video. My wife and I did the same Helsinki to Tallinn crossing in December for the Christmas market . We also stayed in Tallinn old town in a hotel with private bathroom , it cost us £99 for four nights. A complete bargain . Keep up the excellent work 👏👏😊.

I did the Helsinki to Tallinn ferry in 2015. I can't remember which company I took the ferry with.

Early morning ferry and many Finns were drunk. They usually bring a pallet truck to stock up on beer crates as booze is so much cheaper in Estonia.

Like the old booze cruises to Calais 😂
