Somehow you always manage to make boat projects look entertaining …must be because it’s more fun to watch somebody else doing them. 😂

Whenever you’re moving, something relatively heavy from above your shoulder height, put a pillow down below it. That way if it gets away from you, the pillow will at least give some cushioning from whatever is below it, in this case, it would’ve been your hard top, or even the floor.

You mentioned replacing your top. Not sure if you’re talking isinglass or just the canvas. If the isinglass, consider switching to snap up panels versus having to roll them up. Snap ups will last a lot longer with less wear and tear.

While I agree that a shorter anchor light looks better, if somebody’s coming up to the bow in a dinghy in total darkness, if they’re not paying close attention, they may not see it from water level as the radar will block it from view.

The previous anchor light pole was longer and allowed the light to be unobstructed by the radar.  Now the light can not be seen from an boat that is positioned in front of your bow.

For boats over 40’(12meters), you must have a separate stern light and masthead (anchor) light.   That’s the reason for the oversized light you took down.

Can't wait for the next projects. What's next on the list?
