In this reflection, Fr. John Iacono shares insights on faith, maternal sacrifice, and his personal encounters with Saint Padre Pio.
Fr. John opens with the story of Saint Monica, who prayed for 19 years for the conversion of her son, Saint Augustine. He discusses the deep sacrifices of motherhood and the continuous "cuts" and separations experienced throughout a person's life.

He then recounts his own trip to Italy on October 10, 1965, where he went to confession with Padre Pio. Without Fr. John opening his mouth, Padre Pio knew he was entering the seminary and accurately predicted that he would persevere despite future difficulties.

Fr. John also discusses Padre Pio's extraordinary mystical gifts, including bilocation, reading souls in the confessional, enduring spiritual attacks from the devil, bearing the stigmata, and his deep reverence for the Holy Mass. Additionally, he shares how Padre Pio communicates guidance to him during his 3:00 AM prayers.
