I know a lot of guys don't want to dig clad. I live in a very small Canadian town without a lot of wealth. My Legend 1 in 40khz is a coin magnet at finding our steel core coins which often sound like trash in muti once they start to lose their nickel coating or are masked by other targets like foil and bottle caps. We also have 1 and 2 dollar coins here which helps a lot. I've had my legend for......I'd say 3 seasons now. Just in coins alone I've brought in about $1,200.00 in my SMALL TOWN. That's going towards my next detector. That doesn't include the value of my jewelry and old silver coins finds which I mostly hold onto. Essentially my detecting hobby almost pays for itself BECAUSE I dig clad. If I were in a much larger city those numbers could easily double or tripple. It's crazy not to dig the coins if you're physically capable.
Metal detecting around the racetrack with friends.
