If you like the 900 and it works for you, GREAT! keep using it 👍
I am only speaking on MY OWN EXPERIENCE with this machine. The views expressed in this video are only my opinion based on over a year of use with this product.
Additionally, I know a lot of people with decades of experience that have used the 900 on California beaches with heavy black sand and experienced the same problems I was having before I gave this machine away.
Problems such as:
-repeatedly missing gold targets in a test garden scenario
-falsing badly on mineralized/black sand and moving surf.
-VDI rendered useless by black sand (everything rings up negative) which makes it impossible to cherry-pick.
The build quality is great and it’s a very comfortable machine to use. But in my opinion, the software is lacking basic functionality in beach settings and THIS MACHINE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
It’s sad to see such a blind devotion and cult-like behavior surrounding Minelab and their more recent lineup of machines. I’m a big fan of the 600/800 and X-Terra Pro/Elite, but the 700/900 just ain’t it. If an honest review of a product I paid for offends you this bad, it might be time to go see a psychiatrist.
