At the Cities of Rockville and Gaithersburg's Water Safety Day at Gaithersburg Water Park, lifeguards demonstrated how they'd perform a water rescue for a spinal injury. Watch as lifeguards rescue the swimmer, put him in a head chin splint, and carry him safely to the wall. The lifeguards also demonstrate how they would backboard a person with a spinal injury and remove the person from the water.
