Wow, we have a lot of the same childhood experience with this game. Gran Turismo 5 was always the one that stood out to me as the one I played the crap out of more than any other game in the series.

I have played every game in the series from the first to the last. But none of them were this game.

I was given Gran Turismo 5 as a gift for Christmas 2010. Without needing to go into detail, suffice it to say my family situation back then was a bit complicated. At the time, my only chance to play this game was on Friday evenings and Saturdays when I went to my mom's house. Pretty much the whole time I was there... this was all I wanted to do. Getting to go over there and play GT5 again was the highlight of my week, every week, and it always gave me something to look forward to at the end.

It would honestly be easier to be able to chat with you somehow over our shared experience than to write a novel of a youtube comment - I'm normally hardly ever one to comment on videos at all these days, but this video struck a chord in me, and I wanted to tell you how I'm glad I discovered your video, and the way it spoke to me.

AGB, I will build you a car, Muscle, Super, or Exotic? But seriously, I loved seeing GT 5’s trailer and I’m planning to get a PS3 later on at a retro games store for it. But the thing is that I still want to build and replicate a car for you for a car brand. I’ll make the decision though.

I really relate to this video, ever since I was a kid all I ever did with my Tomicas and McQueens is crash them in epic wrecks involving several cars and chain reactions. I was obsessed with making it all look as realistic as possible, and to this day what i love to do the most in racing games is take a serious, realistic sim-oriented game and use it to cause absolute chaos by pit manuvering the bots, driving in the opposite direction into the bots, and using off track cuts to try and fly.
My game of choice was Real Racing 3, which my dad got on my iPad 2 just 3 days after it released, and I fell in love with it. I was barely 3 years old, and didn't know how to race at all. But after a couple years playing it on and off, in 2023 I got back into it as a far smarter driver, and actually started racing properly, learning my braking points and racing line, and it was so much fun.
To this day the game is absolutely ahead of its time, in terms of graphics, car selection (over 500), and track details...it's truly the Gran Turismo on mobile. However, after my iPad Air 2's battery started to degrade, and after I moved to my laptop, I started playing roblox racing games, but they never quite captured the feel and realism of RR3.  And I was so sad to see it go when they announced the servers would be shut down in March 20 and the game will be gone. Thankfully, I created a programming team that managed to decompile the game and preserve it, and got it on my laptop, and I fell back in love.
This video means a lot to me, I can really relate, and I look up to you, personally, as the only Roblox youtuber I really like, and I aspire to make videos like yours (I am also a small youtuber focusing on roblox car games), so thank you AGB, and by extension, thank you so much Gran Turismo 5! :)

I used to adore hotwheels cars and Lightning McQueen as a kid. I remember 11 years ago how we had a small granny flat outside the house we used for storage. In there was a driving rig that's now like 20 years old, and every time my parents needed to get something from it, I'd sit in that rig and pretend I was driving a car, not even knowing what it was used for. Then one day, my dad set up the PS3 and the rig in the house, and he put Gran Turismo 5 on for me. When I played it, my whole life changed. It was so awesome being able to drive a car with a steering wheel and pedals in a video game, and it does exactly what I want it to do. Keep in mind I never knew thisbwas possible, so I was so excited that I could play games like this, it was the first proper video game I ever played. Turns out it changed my entire life and shaped who I am now.
