Great video! I just scored one of these on the side of the road and now i cant wait to go through it. Seems like its a very well made grill and meant to last. Tha ks for making  a very informative video.

My grill is dated 1991 I use it all the time and came across your video searching for a new cover. I have to say your grill is in showroom condition! You did a professional job on your restoration! Mine has a small propane bottle and ignition to light charcoal, i didn’t notice that on your grill. Anyway nice restoration!

Love seeing another Weber grill saved from the junk heap. I have had my Weber Performer SSP (Gen 1) since 2001 and still use it regularly. I have restored several Weber Kettles as the parts are available and they are made to last.

That’s a great deal!

That was an outstanding video! And timely, too. I just today purchased a 1993 green SSP that I'm going to fix up, and maybe even modify

very nice! I've been looking for one of these SS performers for years but most I've found were in really bad shape. I have finally found one in great condition in this red color (1994) model . You've given me hope that I can restore it to new condition with just some cleaning

Just picked one up for $25 yesterday in pretty good condition. This video inspired me to take my time and do a full restore project.

You did a great job on that SSP.  Looks better than new.  I have an EO redhead (not a performer, though).  Going to have to break out some metal polish this winter after watching this!

Just scored one for free and can’t wait to try and copy your process here! Looks great 👍

Wauw, what a very nice restauration, well done !

WoW!  Great job!  Lots of hard work and elbow grease!

Awesome video!

Super gemacht! Gerne mehr davon..

Great job, I will use some of your ideas on my Performer as well

my weber preformer is about 20 years old. I have always have the grill covered. But, rust has attacked the lower bowl and the grill supports rusted off. I plan to dump the rest and build myself a brick BBQ

Nice one Bro! 👍🏼

Great video. I recently picked up a redhead SSP and will be using pointers from you to restore it.  How did you remove the tabletop/door from the frame?

Love the video! Do you have any videos about putting the black frame back together? My black frame has come lose towards the bottom. Looks like plastic fasteners need replaced etc.

2 things - I have an old 1996 SSP and I need a replacement bowl.  It looks like most of what's out there are 22.5" bowls.  Do I need an original 22" bowl?  Where can I find one?  I love this grill but the bowl has rust holes in it.

I just picked up same grill in black, do you have any idea of where you can buy the old cleaning system blades? I’ve been looking and I can only find the newer style.
