I think it would have been a darker tale if she had strung the prince along enough to set her sister up to be killed by him and then dumped him afterward. It wouldn't have even been that hard and it would have been a shorter story. lol

Where are her guards??? Does the illustrator just not like drawing them. Some of these things could be totally avoided if she had guards. Also the main character is just dumb. She had 5 years to take care of her Lillian problem but didn't do anything and she lets the little nut job roam about unguarded. Atleast exile her on an island if your not going to finish her off. This story is just frustrating now. And how did she not suspect her mom being poisoned when Lillian tried to poison her and burn her at the stake I just dont get it. And why would you leave your study and go outside with your secret magical book? Especially with lillian around. I actually might want Lillian to win in the end. Alicia is great but with such an overwhelming favor and shes not able to get ahead of current Lillian I think Lillian has earned her place. Alicia shouldn't die, shes earned her life, but Lillian should become Queen and not get deposed. The current queen keeps relying on a child to protect everything so she isnt strong enough.
