Thank you for your post. Your testament shows you have a soul. There are some people that would just do that job and wouldn't care about hurting others.
We do these presentations as many times as we can fit in our schedule. I very rarely say no to one, gifts or compensation have to be worth my time. It allows us to stay in very nice resorts almost for free or free. We love it!
You made this video because you have a conscience. You are a good person that doesn't believe in scamming people to get a paycheck. I have a feeling you followed through with quitting.
I just attended a Wyndham presentation. My wife won several resort stays, and attending their presentation was one of the requirements. I have a hard time saying "no" in many cases....BUT NOT TO SALESPEOPLE. The "hard sale" portion of our presentation lasted about 10 minutes. I made it very clear, very professionally, that under NO circumstances would I be purchasing anything today. I gather info and then do research. This video is part of that research and the poster's story is EXACTLY what was attempted on us.
Me and my husband just signed with Club Wyndham for 84,000 points in tennessee. We signed yesterday it was suppose to be 90 mins a 75 dollar card and two free nights at the water park. We stayed 4 hours with three small kids....what you are talking about is my exact experience. I was so disappointed and disgusted after signing i still feel like i could throw up. Im sending my rescisson letter tomorrow because i have 10 days. Please say a prayer for me because i feel sick
You really really had me when you said you were proud to say you've never sold one! I'm not even being a little sarcastic. It warmed my heart.
Wyndham and other hotel chain clubs are outright false promises and scams. Almost every "owner" story I've heard is from people not even being able to access their points.
It's wild to me that it's somehow legal to "sell" a mortgage for fictitious property, but I guess the states are probably complicit due to the property taxes paid.
What's really sad is that if they just tweaked their system so that people could actually access what they paid for AND didn't lie throughout the entire process, they'd probably sell so much more through word of mouth from satisfied customers.
Good products/services don't need to lure unsuspecting people with bribes and gifts.
But it sounds like they don't even have availability to accommodate the current client base who has already been bamboozled. So I guess it's more lucrative to try and con them into "upgrades" rather than acquire new ones. Sad!
Thanks so much for sharing. wishing you much success in your endeavors ❤
Great video! I was on my way to an interview with them right now, and I decided to bag after seeing this. I also have a background in sales(real estate, bartending), so, I am familiar with the 'hustle', but you just saved me a bunch of time for pulling the plug on this 'interview'
I had a Wyndham meeting that lasted 6 hours. My nana and I were charmed and cornered and my nana bought it. When we got home we sort of snapped out of it and thought "What have we done?" and We wrote our cancelation letter right when we got home. These salespeople can put you in a trance, and that's exactly what it felt like. Next time remember, you could just get up and walk out the building; they can't force you to stay, even though it may feel that way.
Back in the 80’s, while our family of seven was on our first Hawaiian vacation, my parents got a free luau after they listened to a presentation. Thankfully, my father had the smarts to see right through it and gave them a firm no. Thank you for spelling it out for people. I’m going to have my young adult kids watch this so they never get suckered like many I know.
Loooove everything you stated about your experience! We just got back from a Club Wyndham sales pitch & you literally hit every single nail on the head! Thank you for maintaining your integrity by choosing to not deceive, manipulate or mislead someone into a bad financial decision that can impact them for the rest of their lives! Your mother should be proud ✨
One thing the lady tried to say last Friday was there was a “glitch” in the system which was why we were seeing a certain number…but we all know if there a glitch with anything that has to do with money…especially a business we know they’d shut it all down, send everyone home, fix it then go on..not actively having a glitch and still continue to use that as leverage…
OMG they need a licensed realtor that hasn't lied and scammed to actually sign the documents!!! That makes so much sense. lol Damn. That's the closer. Thank you for explaining that.
I went to one of these a few days ago for a free 7 nights stay and $50 of free food tickets. We didn’t buy, but it was exactly as you explained. I had my husband and 3 kids with me (one is a baby) and they sent out the only pregnant sales lady, which I instantly felt like might have been a tactic to seem relatable to us.
Thank you for your video. We need people like you to help all the ones who got scammed! My aunt got scammed. I was there for the "meeting" and everything you said was exactly how the sale was done. No real concrete informations. But they also take advantage of the fact that you are on vacation and in vacation mode. It was too late to cancel because she wasn't told about the rescission period! They also kept her ID and credit card until everything was signed. Plus, I remember, the contract was signed via a video call in a room. They scroll through the contract so fast that you don't actually get the time to read. And of course, the right to cancel is skipped completely. People need to be aware. I can't believe these companies are not prosecuted for false advertising because they never tell you exactly what you are actually bying. They pretty much stealing money.
"Fantastic video! For over three years, I've been attending these presentations with various brands. When one blacklists me for a year, I just move on to the next. My family and I have enjoyed staying at nice resorts and hotels for a fraction of the cost. While my wife and I attend the presentations, our kids either stay in the room, swim in the pool, or hang out at the kids' club (if available), so they stay entertained and enjoy the provided food. We always decline the offers, which sometimes frustrates the presenters, but I've mastered the art of turning the tables (scamming the scammers). As long as they're legally scamming others, we feel justified in doing the same. I consider the two-hour presentation as a bit of work in exchange for a reward."
Lol, I just went to one today May 26, 2026 in San Antonio. I initially just went in to hear what it's like after someone approached me. I thought, oh it must be just like a marketing thing for the hotel chain. The more I listened to it, the more I started to realize this was a timeshare basically and I remembered a Youtuber's video compliation on a topic of a Disney resort vacation timeshare regrets. Alarm bells rang as I heard the responses to my questions not really calming my concerns. I also thought, "Well, I get reward points with Southwest Airlines every time I book with them and also when I shop online at certain stores using the browser extension to gain points. I used my points and only paid 11 bucks for a roundtrip flight to Vegas. I didn't have to have a contract for that."
Thank you for your honesty and integrity! I just got out of a presentation today! Didn’t sign up for anything but it was a battle to get out of the sales pressure!
