Megan, I had to chuckle when you were talking about taking off on your horse. I was lucky enough to be able to do the same thing and never once did my folks give any inkling they might be worried until many years later my mom said almost the same thing yours did! The only time I thought they might worry was one day a friend and I rode a bit far to some folks' place we knew and called home to tell 'em where we were and that we'd be home "tomorrow". Was a bit late for the ride back and we had food and a place for both of us and our horses so we just stayed where we were. All my folks said was "we're glad you called, call us when you leave tomorrow morning and we'll watch for you". Those were the days...

When I was a kid, we lived on a 50 acre farm. My mom would send us out in the outer pastures and fields with buckets to pick wild blackberries. She froze some, made pies and cobblers and we ate a bunch while picking. Lol. Those are good memories for me. I had just got my first pair of eyeglasses. I was sweating a lot so I took my glasses off and put them in a back pocket. Sometime during the day they must have fallen out and I didn't miss them til I got back to the house. We went back looking for them with no luck. When my dad got home from work, we went out again and he found them laying on a blackberry bush.

I am going to say I really agree with what you are saying, when my children were little I was a stay at home mom and I gardened my hubby worked a full time job, I had a veggie garden, I babysat other people's children for a few dollars to help out a bit. I learned how to can and put up food and I think people need to try and do something to help themselves. People can grow veggies in large flower pots, if they really want to. We hardly ever turn on the news . Hubby and I are in our late 60's with health issues and we still garden and can and put up food . Thank you for your videos, we really look forward to all of them. Just wanted to let you know you all have encouraged us so much. We planted a several things this year, more than our normal. You all help us relax in the evening just watching your videos. We have learned so much and have been so encouraged. We are a blessed family. God bless you both and your families. Love watching the kids so involved with all the work. The last time that I picked blackberries I was really into picking when I heard a bird that sounded close and sounded angry. I looked in the bushes and there was a momma blue bird and she had built a nest in amongst the blackberry briars. And she had some baby birds no wonder she was angry. ❤

You should pick all the beans that are ready on the plant, because once they produce fully developed beans the plant will stop producing beans.

Thank you for reviving a dream. I have a sweet potato sprouting in the window. I multiply a pint of Greek yogurt with a warmed gallon of milk for chia and fruit or greens breakfasts. I’m 74yo and will save for a sprouting jar to grow broccoli microgreens, reduce inflammation ~i have a lot of it, my knee last week.

Keep hope alive.
