Which Roller Coaster Accelerates the Fastest?

In this video I am doing a deep dive on the fastest accelerating roller coaster. Thorpe Park claims that Stealth has the fastest acceleration, reaching 0-80 mph in 1.8 seconds. Using NoLimits 2 Roller Coaster Simulator and analyzing videos of the coasters, I completed my own test to see which roller coaster ACTUALLY accelerates the fastest. I analyzed the top accelerating coasters from Hersheypark, Thorpe Park, Six Flags, Ferrari World, and Knott's Berry farm in an ultimate battle! Along the way I show the mathematics and technology behind these amazing launch coasters!

As a brit thoosie, I don't really care if Stealth isn't the fastest accelerating ride (ok maybe a little). As long as a coaster has a launch that feels like your face is peeling off, I'll be happy.

If we go into Intamin's testing, Xcelerator takes the cake as they used it to test the hydraulics for Top Thrill and Ka, speeding it up to 117mph

i am one of the people who have said that Maxx Force has been upped and launch speed! my home park is Great America, and a couple of sources and friends have told me that the actual speed was upped during an extended period of downtime over this summer due to an alleged rollback issue during testing

I went to Six Flags Great America last year my first time and I expected Maxx Force’s launch to be so sudden but it caught me off guard very good my first ride on it of the day

Your point about all the hydraulic launches being around the same checks out, Matugani's launch is so satisfyingly punchy even though it ends instantly. Nothing like ttd/kk but the feeling of instantly going your top speed is really fun.
Also damn where'd you get those dodonpa trains?

Xcelerator hit 117mph with an (obviously) empty train before it opened. What would the negative Gs be on that?

The fastest aceleration I've ever been on had to be Hypersonic XLC with was 0-80 in 1.8. At least, that's what was advertised. It was brutal and of course fun lol
Also, to just say, it's a true shame that pure speed launch coasters are now old tech and basically being phased away. Hope they make a comeback.
