This will hurt brewers fans for a looooong time.

That stunned shell-shocked look of disbelief... even though I was extremely happy 😊 as a Mets fan over the years I know that feeling all to well...

What a game! Pete will always be remembered for this game and that insane 3 run home run. LETS GO METS!

In Milwaukee, little did we know that it was Bob Uecker's last game at Brewers radio broadcaster. Bob passed away just 3 months later from small cell long cancer at age 90.
The heart and sole of Brewers baseball was gone, and never got a chance to see the Brewers win a World Series.
Still to this day, that game is one of many that remains painful for long suffering Brewers fans.

Pete Alonso got it because his shoes are purple in honor of Grimace.

As a Mets fan I thought it was over after those back to back HR’s by Milwaukee, Thank God for Pete Alonso! The Polar Bear who had been struggling got his groove back at the perfect time!

the Rangers gave Joc Pederson 37 million over two years when they could have got this Pete guy for that for one season........ what were they thinking?

Got to watch this game live. As a fan of neither team(I'm a Seattle Mariners fan), I didn't know how to react to Pete's homerun. However I ended up jumping on the Mets bandwagon.

From what I read regarding Alonso The Phillies were actually entertaining the idea of signing him & according to what Bryce Harper said he was 100% on board with the idea & would have gladly vacated 1st base & gone back to the outfield had the Phillies signed Alonso & that would have been a disaster for the Mets can you imagine if the Phillies had pulled the trigger on that deal ?
