We arrived at the MOTOR FESTIVAL! 🔥🏁
In this video, I'll show you everything we experienced on Saturday at the new track at Finca La Mariana in Orotina, Costa Rica.
This time, I wasn't just there to cover the event with my camera… I also came as part of the Sáenz Only Jeep team, helping with the cars during the competition. That's why you probably won't see all the vehicles or all the races, but I was able to document from the inside what really happened with the team.
We arrived with 5 cars and high expectations:
💥 The Duende V8 Twin Turbo
🏁 The Tonga V8
🔥 The Bichota – Jeep 4.0 HO
💪 The Cherokee – Jeep 4.0 HO Turbo
🏎️ The Orange Clockwork – Autocross
And the problems started right from the beginning… The Duende suffered a mechanical failure and never managed to get properly aligned during the competition. Later we discovered that the car had been experiencing fuel supply issues and the fuel pumps were malfunctioning.
On the other hand, El Tonga had a spectacular day and managed to take first place on Saturday 🏆🔥. I had to work the hardest on La Bichoca during the race, trying to keep her in contention. Unfortunately, a problem arose with the alternator, and we didn't have the necessary replacement part to fix it, so we couldn't finish.
And just when it seemed the Cherokee might give us another reason to celebrate, after a very good first heat, it broke down in the front, and we were out of the race.
Meanwhile, La Naranja Mecánica still had to wait until Sunday to get into action.
A day of racing, mud, adrenaline, repairs, frustrations, and also a great victory for the team. That's what a race is like when you're behind the scenes, but also fully involved with the team. 🔧🔥
