This is the most money I've ever spent on rough agate for cutting. Will the gamble pay off or was it a complete waste of money? There's only one way to find out. Let's see what's inside.

I've polished several of these specimens and they are listed for sale on my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AgateAnglerShop

I Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. We are possibly getting our first snow here in MT.

Really like the contrast of the host rock on the cuts, goes well with the big quartz.

6:57 I always love those kinds of little floaters, they look like paint splatter.
You found some beauties, I could hear disappointment in your voice, and I can relate, I’ve definitely had that sound in my voice. But the winners are REALLY good! ✌🏼

Actually, the last 2 you cut are my favorites. I am a sucker for geode pockets with those shiny crystals! Lol! 😊

WOW ~ the first one had such great fortification banding. WooHoo! ~ Sad that #2 had a fracture line.. ~ #3 had such beautiful contrast between the White & the clear banding. ~ The Last one was very interesting.. Color, & a Toothy Geode.. I like that toothy grin. LOL. Fun for Halloween.. ~

You got a couple of good ones from the batch! That's sort of how cutting agates go :). I found your channel originally when you were cutting open Alimajo Agates from Joshua.

even the one you called a dud was pretty. The outside and insides of these rocks are so different

I've gotta say your last one was my favorite. Would you be willing to help a fellow Montanan with locating some used tools to help me out in the lapidary scene. Id also like some advice as far as which tools to choose 🤔 slant lap, flat lap, cabbing wheel set, which one is the best to start with
