To hear that Def Leppard came in at 47...behind bands like The White Stripes, Paramore, REM and Parilament...is mind bending. They sold more albums than those bands combined.

I'd put Corey Feldman before some of these

I checked out after Green Day was identified as better than Def Leppard

Sleater-Kinney and Paramore but no Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, KISS, Journey or Lynyrd Skynyrd? Bizarre.

The Beatles were never bubblegum. The Stones started as Blues.

A lot of latin rock bands are starting to get pushed by media outlets and rock journalists who don't feel that the definition of "rock band" in the U.S. is diversified enough.

I would have put Def Leppard and The Who much higher. But no one tends to regard these types of lists anyway.

I’ve seen Aerosmith three times one time Guns N’ Roses blew them off the stage. Another time they were two hours late the third. They were pretty good. Maybe they’re taking that into account.

Skynyrd, Rush,SexPistols,Cream,The Kinks

No Deep Purple. No Rush. No Iron Maiden. No Journey. No Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. No Boston. No ZZ Top. Yet there's Paramore and No Doubt and a few more WTH choices. IMO, Van Halen should be Top Five or Six.

Found the article and decided to click on contributor bios. At least half of them hipsters had no business contributing to a list of greatest rock bands of all-time. Saw plenty of Olivia Rodrigo shout-outs though.
