After an unfortunate string of midnight purchases, I finally deleted the Zara app. A triumph, until I walked past the store… I’m currently operating under the delusion that if I’m only going in to find the best pieces for you to invest in, it’s community service and doesn't count. Please tell me you agree…

I absolutely love a Trinny Zara shop up. I do shop in Zara and love to see what Trinny picks out xx

Wherever you're shopping is fine because it serves as inspo. Never will I get to a Tibi store, but I take in the cuts, fabrics, and colours and it influences my choices. It's all good. Thanks Trinny.

Don't call it diarrhoea brown - brass is great for those of us who can wear it! (Link please, lol!)
EDIT: The one thing I prefer about Zara and H&M is that they tend to have a RANGE of undertones and shades in their colours (unlike many British retailers, like Boden and Joules, who only seem to do clear brights or pastels)... Not everyone suits navy and grey!

Loved that. It was so short though! ❤ Really miss Trinny’s take on high street clothes. Cos is too expensive!

I have some wonderful cotton and viscose pieces from Zara that are still going strong, almost 10 years later! Yet Trinny's COS merino turtleneck is so see through, I can only wear it as underwear...
I think where most people go wrong is they try to wear fast fashion every day, then high-end stuff only for special occasions. I actually do the opposite - e.g. I have a cheap ASOS bag that I trot out for parties, but then basically live in merino wool, silk and cotton the rest of the time lol. I still machine wash everything but use a mesh bag for anything delicate - my clothes last me for years, no matter where they're from!
The key is to know your personal dealbreakers and stick to them (e.g. I do wear some viscose and polyester on my lower half if I know I'll be doing something more strenuous, but I'll put clothes back on the rack if I see they have puckered seams or misaligned prints.)
TL;DR: Ofc YMMV on these dealbreakers, but 'no dropped shoulders' is another hill I'm willing to die on - now it's time to decide yours 😂

If we are going to shop in Zara (and some of us definitely are as relatively it’s not that cheap for me!) then your eye is invaluable.
