I've tried sooo many different picks and this one is my favorite.

They're my personal favorites. Strikes a balance of everything.

Wonderful video mate

Totally cleared my doubt with the jazz iii vs jazz iii xl... okey buying J3 xl.. thank you

I’m using this one, super comfortable

I just bought a 18 pick sample pack from Dunlop and this is this one I ended up liking the most. It does have a bit of a muffled tone which I'm not sure if I like yet, but it's so nice to play

I appreciate your pick reviews my friend! I have been using Ultex picks for several years now and have been trying different thicknesses to see what improves my playing and tone. So far, I am leaning toward the .60 but I do like the 1.14 and the .73 to so, I still have some cogitating to do...... I'll try the Tortex.73 that you discussed in one of your other videos to.

Started using the Red Nylon Jazz iii in 1990. Switched to the Ultex Jazz iii 10 years ago. Tried loads of different Jazz iii style picks, keep coming back to the Ultex.
The XL is way too big for me though.

These and the dunlop black 1.14 jazz picks are good to

ultex jazz 3 xl's are the best - the primetones are pretty awesome too

Love your videos man!!!

I love this pick!

great video. love pick reviews

Hey, same pick I use!  I'm with you.  Bea's pick is way out of my price range, lOl.

I use them a lot. I sharp them for better articulation

Thanks. They do do a Primetone in Jazz 111 XL now and they are ultra grippy. I have been using them but they are soooo expensive, with the hand bevelling, and I wear them out pretty quick. I've just ordered some Dan's guitar store precision picks to see how they go. They are nylon, which I don't usually use, but they are bevelled both sides and a Jazz 111 shape but more pointy and meant to be pretty grippy.

I took a few minutes to polish a new Dunlop Ultex Jazz III XL with metal (brass) polish and a soft cloth.Iit's super slick now but still grippy. Maybe worth the experiment, just rinse off in water afterwards :)

@Jake Pool Music I appreciate your review of these picks. I watched the other review of the carbon fiber Jazz 3 picks, and I'm impressed with how the pick sounded in that video. What amp did you use in that video? It sounds similar to my new Line 6 Spider V60 MKII that I'm enjoying so much to the point where my picking techniques have increased over time as i practice for hours daily while playing my new Jackson JS 12 Dinky, and E.S.P. Viper 50. Also, does this pick in this video, as well as that other carbon fiber jazz 3 pick, have a bevel in the center of the pick where you put your thummb? About 10 years ago, a buddy and i hit up guitar center, and for about a few bucks, i bought 6 hard dunlop picks with the bevel in the center. Miss those picks. Definitely stocking up on those type of picks that i use to own 10 years ago. But they were dunlop from what i remember, and they were solid hard. But just asking if this particular pick that you review in this video, has that bevel in the center? What dunlop picks have that bevel in the center? The hard shell type of picks that i described to you when i explained what picks i got 10 years ago. Would i have to invest in the tusque dunlop guitar picks? And do those tusque picks have that bevel in the center? I just love how the hard picks with the bevels in the center of each pick, sound, especially after you drop it on the surface of a table after practicing for the day. Keep on playing brother, and keep doing more gear reviews!

Although I love the shape and small size, I find regular Jazz III just a bit small. Want to check out XLs, maybe it is the ultimate pick :D
I also have bought Kirk Hammet's Jazz III picks and they are the worst I have ever used. Being very small, they also have KH's gimmick in a form of cut on the grip side: the place where such a small pick has the main sturdy contact point with fingers. Because of that, it constantly rotates and slips, idiotic design... Playing quick lead stuff becomes harder, because pick changes it's position, hiding more and more between fingers = lots of squeal and harmonics instead of notes.

Could never play with regular nylon jazz3 picks I play too many styles and needed to find a one trick pony that works best for all of them. The Dunlop Jazz3 XL Ultex! Used everything and for last 10 yrs used Tortex T3, but found too dark for acoustic, until I switched to Ultex solved that problem! The feel of the Ultex Jazz3 XL Series pick even feels great in the hand I love them
