The number one product for UK based road grime and road salt, especially here in the west of Scotland where even a rainy summer means I will use this to get rid of traffic film. Find it dries a little bit when it's not super cold outside, so for me it's always used in a foam lance. I guess it's a little cheaper here in the UK. I'm paying around £29 for 5 L, so happy to factor convenience over cost. But great comparison video!

seems like the ik foam is the best solution. least product, long dwell/work time unless youre in a hurry and are going to spray on and basically spray right off.

If the car is also well maintained and doesn’t have much dirt, with just 0.5% you get really good results using a tiny amount of product.

Thank you so much for doing this test for those who question which method is best. I myself, when I'm unable to use my pressure washer (it is at parents' property at times) have found that the IK Spray process works just as good. In fact, I bought one extra IK e Foam Pro 2 Battery Sprayer and swapped out the black top with one of the blue tops (more geared toward Alkane), and life is gooood!

With the product you save using the pump sprayers, you can always give it another coat if it looks like it's drying out.

Sure seems the pump foamer is way more economical here. Typically you could probably get away with skipping above the doors too with the pre spray

This is very interesting topic, been talking about using a pump sprayer rather than a snowfoam cannon

Pump sprayer seems way forward in many ways

Great to have you do this comparison. While the foams stay on longer, I’d guess that the change in weight of both IK sprayers would have been close even if you had used the non-foam sprayer twice

Perhaps only fifty people on the planet actually look at the paint on the underside of the rocker panels in their cars. Mine have paint and no plastic cover. I’ve seen only one YouTube detailer clean the underside of their rocker panels. I bought bilt hamber touchless just to spray on this part which after only 50 to 100 miles of driving has a coating of black grime.

I had planned to use a garden sprayer to wet the underside of my rocker panels with bilt hamber touchless. Your video says this works. Thank you.

I've heard touchless is an evolution of " autofoam ", and I've always used AF with pump spray, extremely convenient to use a pump spray

I use touchless at 2% in a detail

You should have used a hose to rinse the ik. I’m not dragging out a pressure washer just to rinse. If I’m going to hassle of using the pressure washer then I’m using the foam cannon.
