Leonardo Fioravanti would argue about the Aero: He was the guy that persuaded Pininfarina to invest in a full-size wind tunnel. The twin rear lights were his design, as were both the Daytona and the Dino. He also designed the Daytona seats. Ferrari has always been reluctant to acknowledge his massive contribution to its heritage.

I saw a 12cilindri near a Ferrari dealership in Hatfield a few months ago. As it drew up to the traffic lights where I was waiting to cross on foot, I first heard the engine noise, then this amazing shape I didn’t recognise at the time with the roof off. It looks really beautiful on the road. 10/10 for me 😊

So cool that Ferrari is open to letting you do stuff like this, very unique content that is so much appreciated. Love the insight! I had never seen that Daytona prototype before, it is only decades on that you can look back and see how important the full design transition was. Maybe we are in an era like that now with Ferrari.

A remark on the Daytona seats, Leonardo Fiorvanti also designed that original seat pattern and it went through 2-3 iterations before settling on that final design. The holes were added for ventilation/heat dissipation.

These Maranello series are amazing.

I was followed a few weeks back by a white one. Honestly it looked pretty intimidating in the mirror, it also looked miles more futuristic than it does on film.

Knew someone that owned a yellow Dino GTS. The spyder version of that car. It was back in the 60s. Still one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

That green metallic one just wears its shade so much better than those others.  It may as well be a different car, especially with those wheels that match it just right.

Yellow Daytona Spider at the lift. Should have shown its underside. Suspension was state of the art at the time.
